Not sure what to do ):
Thank you. I think I will apply for my new license. I have Just heard horrible things about the BON and it just worries me I could be falsely accused of something I didn't do. My anxiety gets the best of me and I start overthinking everything bad that could happen when in reality I Know I'm innocent and they have no reason to continue on investigating me. My boss would cover up any missing narcs, said narcs were counted when they were not, allowed CNAs to count and the CNAs also know where the extra narcs keys are kept! (In an unlocked drawer one cabinet over from the narc box!) One time my boss and I were wasting a ton of expired Valium and Tramadol and she said "we could make a killing off these in the streets. Well not the tramadol those don't do ****!" And just laughed. She's the one who complained against me I'm sure. I told the investigator all of these things when he asked (like I said, nothing to hide!) and he seemed more concerned with the way things were done there vs with me when we got off the phone. I was careful when wording things when speaking to him but honest the entire time. I figured the more I tell them, the better chances they have of finding out who IS diverting at that facility.

Not sure what to do ):
I was the subject of a complaint and spoke with an investigator over the phone. He asked me questions and I answered them honestly. He then asked me to meet him to give my side of things in person and I agreed. I was about to make the 1.5 hr drive to speak with him when I called him and was told they don't need anything else from me at this time. Anyways, I have been in the dark now not knowing what is going on. (Surprise, surprise) I was accused of diversion from my previous employer without any evidence against me. (Being 100% honest here and I did NOT divert meds; it hurts that EVERYONE i worked with believes I did now and my reputation there is ruined.) Anyways, still haven't heard anything back but I moved out of state last year (before all this) and have been wanting to get licensed in this state. Of course I don't want to have to pay all the fees to get turned down because of some stupid complaint that has nothing even backing it up! Would you guys suggest I wait to find something out from the BON or go ahead and try to get my new license here? And does anyone have any idea what will or could happen next?

Tech falsified vitals
I had this issue at a LTC facility I worked at. I knew my patient's HR usually ran low and her Coreg was usually held 9/10 times. One of the CNAs would check her HR and told me it was 100. (It was usually around 40-50) I was skeptical so I checked it and sure enough it was too low to give the med. I asked the CNA if she checked it and she said yes. I told my supervisor and the other nurses so they were aware of this too. I decided then I would always check my own vitals just to ensure my patient's safety.

Didn't scan a narcotic at bedside
I would think as long as you are honest with your employer and work with them then there shouldn't be any big problems. Tell them it was an honest mistake and that you are willing to comply with anything they need you to do including a drug test. (Which you may even want to request to take one at your work so they can't come back later with any complaints or anything) I wouldn't think they'd do anything more than maybe a write up for not scanning it but I can't see how they could do anything worse than that. Things like this happen, we are nurses but we are still human. Good luck!

Please help! Under investigation for the first time and scared
Thank you both so much for responding so quick and reading my long post! Lol I think I will go do the drug test just to cover my butt. I always was sure to be careful when documenting and always had another nurse with me when wasting, etc. I just pray this didn't fall onto me especially when there's no evidence I even did anything wrong! It just seems so unfair if so ):

Please help! Under investigation for the first time and scared
I am being investigated by the BON for a complaint on me for diversion that I did not do! I am trying to wrap my head around this all still, but I have just been contacted by an investigator over the phone two days ago. I told him everything I knew about the lack of counting the narcs at the facility I worked for, how keys were left in a drawer unlocked to the narcs, etc. (I know I need a lawyer I just can't afford one right now.) but I told him the straight truth that I did not divert meds and answered any questions he had regarding the way meds were handled there. I didn't blame anyone else, just simply tried to cooperate so they could find who is really diverting from there. Anyways, I called today regarding my appointment to give my testimony under oath. He told me there was no need to come in that there was nothing else they needed from me regarding the case at this time. I offered to comply with anything they needed (drug test, interviews, anything cause I have nothing to hide! Just want my name cleared!) and he said they didn't need anything further at this time from me. Does this mean i am still just in the dark or they are doing other things? Any help or advice would be great thanks! Side note I was never drug tested by my employer, I had quit before all this happened and I guess the timing was bad so they pointed fingers at me! There is no evidence against me, only that somebody at my old work turned me in for this and I have no idea why.
