APEA Predictor
Hi all, I also went to WCU. When I repeated my term, I didn't have to do any more clinical hours, as I had already completed them. My professor at the time didn't require me to do a lot of assignments. I had to repeat all the APEA activities, including the weekly videos and tests. I think the work you have to do might be depending on your professor. My instructor with another instructor, had two weekly Zoom review sessions with us as well, which I was only able to attend twice, but it really helped. Yes, I also had to repeat the APEA live review, which was worthless to me. They can't expect everyone to benefit from the review sessions that lasted almost all day, with only a few 5, 10, and 15-minute breaks after powering through entire body systems, diagnoses, and pharmacology. Especially adult learners. I thought a company that charges so much money, and allegedly has high rates of success would understand how adult learners retain information, but no they do not. It's so frustrating, and I'm still very annoyed about it. After I graduated, WCU started a program where students who failed the first time could pick other review courses the school approved. They would pay or reimburse the student. Maybe ask them, if they are still doing that. I hope this helps, aside from my little tirade. LOL!

APEA Predictor
My school used APEA and many students have failed because of scoring less than 70% on the predictor exam. I took the APEA live review, purchased and did the practice exam, I have the book and some of the other materials. I even purchased the audio recordings, which is just the recording of a live session. None of it helped me! I wasn't able to retain anything. I was able to pass and graduate after repeating a term after utilizing other review sources and materials. To pass the boards, I used Sarah Michelle videos (there are free ones on YouTube), but I bought a package, bought the Maria Leik, did the live review. I also supplemented with Brittani, NP reviews from YouTube and Patreon (her Patreon is cheapest review I've seen. I think it has continuing education credits, especially if you have to retake the board. links https://YouTube.com/@BrittaniNP?si=m6JVvQLubPOUokG1 https://YouTube.com/@smnpreviews?si=DHyGmj2NaLP9XFuB

Changing to a different department
I'm a tele nurse, and I've been doing it for sometime. I feel stuck. How can I transfer to a different department? I would like to work in the ER, but they always seem to want "experience." It's the same as "Pediatrics," where I really want to work. Any advice?

Kaiser application
Hi everyone! I've applied for Kaiser Permanente so many times, but I can't seem to get an interview recently. I was a travel nurse with one of their hospitals over 3 years ago. Almost a year ago, I did go to a group interview at a Kaiser hospital near my home, but I did not get any of the positions, even though We were told that there would be plenty of positions openings. After that I've applied several times, and I always get a rejection email the next day. It makes me wonder, did I get blacklisted? Is that even possible? I didn't do anything wrong. I don't think. I wasn't rude to anyone. I even applied saying that I was referred by a friend who used to work there, and it's teue that she used to work there. What should I do differently?
