I use a Spenco orthotic insert in my New Balance sneaks. New Balance MW811 model that has room for the orthotics as well as my wide feet. Make sure you invest in your feet. They will thank you for it, aand of course you'll feel better throughout the day.
I have flat feet and found that orthotics have helped me with arch support. I wear a New Balance MW811 sneaker which suits my wide feet and has room for orthotic inserts. These were recommended by a podiatrist. There's a site that I go to for recommended Nurses shoes and orthotics: http://www.most-comfortable-shoes.com/nurses_shoes.html There's also an informative site on heel and other foot pain I use: http://www.heel-pain.org/
New Balance make a whole range of wide sizes. I wear the MW811 model. Very comfy and supportive for long hours. Also take a look at a great webpage that recommends different styles and brands of nurses shoes with an emphasis on comfort: http://www.most-comfortable-shoes.com/nurses_shoes.html
I currently swap between 2 pairs of shoes - New Balance MW811 and Danskos - I find both very supportive. By the way, I would recommend the following website for a really good range of different brands and styles of nurses shoes for both men and women. You're sure to fin something that works. http://www.most-comfortable-shoes.com/nurses_shoes.html
