I applied last year and was placed on the alternate list. I called so many times trying to find out info, I emailed Karen and was constantly on these forums. I was told “We offer seats to applicants on the waitlist once the accepted students decline their offer of admission. It happens quite frequently. The waitlist usually gets active the closer we get to the start of the program. The number of students off the waitlist differ from year to year. Make sure that you accept any other offers that may come your way and that your outstanding conditions for admission are met. Good luck! I also emailed asking when the latest I would hear from them and this is what they said “ We can call you anytime up until orientation which is scheduled for August 23rd. After August 23rd, we welcome you to apply for a fall 2019 program start date.” This was for last year though. I had high hopes but unfortunately I never got that call. I was accepted into a different program so luckily I’m in nursing school but SB was my top pick. Hope this info helps, I would have wanted someone to give me as much info as possible.
