  1. I agree with I.AM.ABLE You should look at for both schools: Curriculum for each semesterThe cost of each semesterLocation of the campusNCLEX passing ratesOne thing that was a huge plus for me for MVC was that they have a concurrent program with Texas Tech El Paso, which is the RN to BSN and the transition over would be seamless along with finishing two of their classes before even starting the program and it's all online. These are just a few things to look at. But the decision is totally up to you. This is your nursing school experience and you should not let anyone make that decision for you.
  2. Hey guys! Congratulations to everyone who made it! I got my acceptance email yesterday around 5pm. I was also accepted into Mountain View's nursing program and I'll be doing my program there. I hope by me not accepting this El Centro offer, it'll go to someone else who is trying to get in. Good luck! ? Total points: 36 HESI score: 87%
  3. If there is one, I would love to join it as well! ?
  4. I got accepted into the program!!
  5. What's your total points with these Hesi score if you don't mind me asking.
  6. That's what I got, an 87.20% ☹️. Can I ask why you want to retake it? Is it just to get a higher grade?
  7. I retook it on Monday and thankfully I did a lot better this time around.
  8. I think I'm going to wait closer to mid-January to send my application in.

  10. According to the packet, it looks like the acceptance letter will be sent out on April 30.
  11. I live on the outskirts of Downtown Dallas
  12. So I'm guessing just the printed paper that we fill out and that's it?
  13. So how are we supposed to turn this in? Are we supposed to put it in an envelope after filling everything out and turn it into the paramount building? Also are we supposed to turn in a transcript along with this even though we've only attended DCCCD?
  14. Yeah, I'm really wanting to go to Mountain View but El Centro is a back up plan too.
  15. Oh nice! Is El Centro where you are wanting to go?
  16. Thank you! ? How's your application process going so far? I've submitted most of my Immunizations to CastleBranch. I'm just missing a few things.
  17. Oh nooo, hopefully after taking the Hesi, I'll be able to get my score up just a bit.. ?
  18. Hey guys, I'll be applying to El Centro as well! So far I have 26 points, not including Hesi. I'm retaking my Hesi in the next two week, so hopefully I'll do better the second time around. Do you guys know what the minimum score was for last application cycle?
  19. Oh wow, I that's so cool! I didn't know they had this. Did you apply and get accepted?
  20. With those two classes, are they during nursing school? If so, do you think it'll be a huge workload and manageable?
  21. Is that something you apply for when you get accepted into the program? Or something you apply for at the same time with the nursing application?
  22. Oh my gosh, I was just about to ask how the heck did you get your points so high for Mountain View lol. I'm applying for both El Centro and Mountain View as well. MVC does do their application process with points. Their website is a bit confusing to navigate around. You can use this to calculate points for MVC https://www.mountainviewcollege.edu/cd/credit/nursing/mvc/pages/admission-ranking.aspx
  23. Hi there! I just finished chemistry, philosophy, and sociology the first half of this semester. I'm retaking composition 2 right now for a better grade. So far so good! I was planning to apply for UTA on-campus for Fall 2020 but after talking on the phone with the advisor, I kind of feel discouraged. It sounded like I don't have the competitive score to get in but I'm still going to apply anyways.
  24. I have not taken my TEAS/HESI yet. I was planning to apply to UTA for the spring and take the nursing classes during the summer maybe.
  25. Hello! I also plan to apply to both UTA's on-campus and accelerated online nursing program, along with both Brookhaven and Mountain View ADN program. I have put some thought into applying to TWU as well but haven't really looked much into it. From what it looks like, I won't be able to finish up my pre-reqs fast enough to apply to Fall'19 to either of the programs.
