Hi fatima1, I am waitlisted for Fall 2018. I received this email from Zelma: 'Selection process from this point forward: Please note that I do not know when the next person will be called. Here is the process in a nutshell going forward: 1. If a student has decided to accept elsewhere or just decline their position and has notified me of their intentions, then I will place a call to the next person on the list asking if they are interested in the open position. Action taken. 2. If you are notified, then you must accept the position or you will lose your position in the Fall 2018 semester. This was explained at the orientation. If you do not answer, it is possible that I will need to move on to the next person immediately or if you don't get back to me in the required time frame, I will need to move on to the next available person and so on, until I reach someone who will accept the position. Please leave me the name and number of someone that can accept on your behalf, in case you are not available at the time. Action taken. Since this can be a slow moving process, please refrain from calling me or sending emails to find out your status, as I will not have any new information for you. Based on the response and availability of each applicant, you may move up faster than expected. Most communication will be via email, so please make sure that you also check your spam/junk folder as well. Depending on how soon a position needs to be filled, it is possible that all contact will be via phone only and I may not be leave a voice mail for immediate call back. Thank you for your understanding and we wish you the best of luck' I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I wish I knew a rough number of how many people they usually accept from the waitlist each year it would be really helpful. Good luck!
