HCA thoughts? StaRN program?
Can you elaborate on the training they provided for orientation? My offer was for the ER. I know some people think some floors are slightly better than the rest do you have any insight for that unit? It feels this semester the competition was super tough and many hospitals hardly had any spots. I'm still waiting on one more but everyone keeps saying experience is the most important part. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Harris Health GN Summer 2018
Good afternoon! I am starting this thread to keep each other posted for any updates regarding the Harris Health GN program for this upcoming summer. Their information session was in late March, however, they stated interviews would start in April and offers in May. As of yet I have not heard of anyone getting a phone call or email for an interview. Hopefully we can keep each other posted if we hear anything. If you dont mind feel free to share which hospital you applied too and what units, maybe one hospital is ahead of the other.

Houston GN Residency programs 2018
Just wanted to post a quick update. HCA has started calling with offers, was actually surprised it was very quick, as the interviews were just last Wed. I received an offer, if anyone is wondering they give you 2 days to verbally accept/decline it. While harris health has not started interviews (that I know of) I know they give 1 day to accept or decline their offer, if anyone was wondering.

HCA thoughts? StaRN program?
I hope everyone is doing well! So I thought I would start this thread by trying to get some insight into HCA hospitals, more specifically in Houston if anyone has any thoughts. I have recently been offered a position there but majority of the reviews of HCA are from a couple of years ago. I want to know if anyone can share any recent thoughts on what it is like working for a hospital run by HCA? or if you have recently been in the StaRN program if you can share any feedback on how you felt the program was? I was offered a new grad residency in a unit that I know is hard for almost any new grad to get into, however, I am weighing my options from another offer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
