  1. Congratulations, Liberatedsoul on being accepted into your LPN program!
  2. Congrats on getting into ICTC! I was super excited before I started too. But I agree with MrsFutureNurse1, chill out and enjoy your summer. You probably won't have much time to enjoy the awesome weather after you start school. Take care and Good Luck!
  3. Great suggestion, I got one and it is wonderful!
  4. I just finished my first week of classes and my back is a little sore from the 50 lb. of books, I've been hauling around, everywhere. My classmates are nice, and we have had a lot of fun together already. Everyone I've met from previous terms say the same thing to me, that the first few weeks are the hardest and then you find your groove, and everything falls into place. I have a calendar with the 50 weeks of the classes on it and I'm going to mark them off as I complete each week. My little countdown to finishing the program.
  5. I can only speak from my own experience. As bad as this sounds, I think the problem is you are still a "noob" and you haven't earned your spot in the group, yet. Lots of individuals become CNAs, most work for a very short time before they either know they love being a CNA or they hate it and quit. Lots of people quit, I mean a ton of people that become CNAs; up and just quit within a month or two of their start date. So I think the CNAs are waiting to see if you are going to stick around before investing the energy to start a friendship with you. Once you earn your place in the group they will start helping you out; I'm sure of it. As for the nurses, well, they want to work with competent CNAs and as a future nurse. They expect you to run like a jack-rabbit and be the best. It is a little weeding out the weak and a little toughening you for the responsibility of being a nurse in a year or so. Just to be clear they are not going to go easier on you because of your heavy school load. Most nurses I knew would actually work the nursing students harder and demand more from them. It may not be fair, but life isn't fair! However, you may have found the facility from H*LL and your best choice is to find a CNA job at a different facility. If this is the case then, I am sorry. Those places exist where the CNAs are in general, unfriendly and the Nurses are just tired of the ever revolving door of new hires. In the end only you can decide if you need to quit or if you have the ability to find a way to stay. No one knows you as well as you know yourself. So my advice is simple, do what is best for you!
  6. Oh my, nanillest, that sounds like it is very rough. I wish I had some amazing words of encouragement, but I am afraid I do not. Just hang in there I am sure it will get better soon.
  7. Congratulations! lamadredezoey and SBNursekawaii, I hope you both do very well in your programs.
  8. I wish there were more bridge programs in each state. Not just for the LPN to RN, but also LPN to BSN, RN to BSN and so on. But, those programs are limited by the same forces that limit every other nursing program, the lack of experienced Nursing Educators. But, hey I'm okay with just testing out of a few classes if a person is qualified to do so. But, not a whole year or more of a nursing school. But, I'm just a silly little nursing student, so what do I know.
  9. Hello, I start my LPN program on April 30th, 2018. I'm a little nervous, but I look forward to starting. The anticipation and the excitement of finally entering into nursing school are wonderful. MrsFutureNurse1 and Mahrie-Cymone'19 - Congrats on being accepted into your school's LPN/LVN programs.
