Hey. Did you do the Rider University RN program? I am about to start RN to BSN and I am curious what people think and what was their experience. I am so nervous

ok. i am starting to understand this a little bit more. I get the part of the assessment and that child is nervous and what I should do to make the child less nervous and making the whole situation more "fun". But when it comes to planning. What exactly would I be writing about? Would I write about how i plan to give that child vaccine and make him less nervous or is it more like goals; for example "the child will show no signs of anxiety", "child will receive needed vaccine" etc. I can't believe I am struggling so much with this assignment. Thanks for all help

Hi guys, I am a first semester nursing students and I am struggling with one of my assignments. This is what my assignment says: Develop a nursing care plan, incorporating a developmental theorist. Using the nursing process, describe how you would approach the pre-K child for a physical exam and prepare them for an immunization. Each element of the nursing process must be included. Also include a paragraph explaining the rationale for the choices in the care plan and linking it to a developmental theorist, e.g. Piaget. Erikson, Maslow. I am struggling because I dont understand how can i write a nursing care plan of someone that I don't know anything about. There is no disease or anything. It's just a kid who comes in to get a vaccine. What would be the nursing diagnosis and other stuff. I feel so stupid. Please help me.
