  1. That's what I'm hoping. I also think the fact that it takes 2-3 months to complete credentialing is contributing to my nerves. Haha. What can they possibly be doing that takes so long. It makes me feel like they are leaving no stone unturned.
  2. I was in the non disciplinary program. I guess my main concern is that I was fired from that job. So during the credentialing process, do they care about the RN positions? As in, contact them and ask the terms of separation?
  3. That's awesome. Ok. I just want to reach a point in my life where I don't feel like this haunts me.
  4. I waited until I was finished with the program and had a few years of "clean" work under my belt before I started school. I don't know what program with a clinical component would accept someone in monitoring. Too much liability. And all programs usually require an unencumbered RN license. I also had no charges and nothing against my license so once I was out of monitoring I looked like anyone else which made things a lot easier. I am interviewing for NP jobs at the moment though and I am worried about credentialing. That seems like a pretty thorough process and I'm thinking they'll contact the employer that fired me. That'll probably throw a wrench into things.
  5. If it makes a difference I'm ACNP and an interviewing for hospital based positions.
  6. Hey everyone, I'm graduating NP school in a couple months and interviewing for jobs. I got fired from my very first job as a RN for actions related to drug use. I enrolled voluntarily in PNAP (my employer never reported me) and completed it without incident. I was never even charged with a single thing and have never had any other legal issues in my life. My RN license never had any action taken against it. I am worried, though, that when I get hired for my first NP job, and they start the credentialing process, something will come up. Do they care about RN jobs when doing the credentialing for an NP job? I should also say I've had 3 subsequent RN positions without so much as a hiccup. Any insight into this would be appreciated.
