How do new grad Nurses that don't have BSN manage to survive this job market ?
But nurses in leadership roles must have a BSN at Magnet hospitals. Nevertheless I saw someone mention maybe that's one of the issues with high turnover rates at hospitals but to me nursing essentially was hands on learning on the floor. What I learned in school gave me a good foundation but what I learned from my first nursing job at SNF made me a good nurse. Experience is the only thing that will make a good nurse

Fired for Falsifying Documents. What to expect
Hi LPNewbie. I'm sorry for your situation but just curious why you reported the other nurse. Did you address her directly about the mistake or go straight to supervisor?

NCLEX - RN 2018
I probably went through Uworld at least 3 times. I told my friend to do the same and she passed too. But realistically not every study program is for everyone. I just noticed because I did Kaplan, NCSBN, Uworld, and the 2 week trial of Hurst that the program that was most similar to the NCLEX was Uworld. Definitely don't give up. I used Uworld on the 3rd attempt and passed with 75 questions. I was happy but frustrated because if I knew how great Uworld was I would have used it the first time. There was actually a question on the NCLEX that was word-for-word the same as one I saw on Uworld.

How do new grad Nurses that don't have BSN manage to survive this job market ?
In New York a lot of our hospitals are magnet hospitals so they can only hire BSN. But there are many different nursing paths that you can get hired easily. Nursing home is your best bet for experience if you can't get hospital job. Maybe only do a year there (unless you like it) then move on to clinic, doctor's office, amb surg, home health, school. There are many different paths once you figure out what you like

Fired Due to Not Being Able to Get to Work
It seems like everyone posting is in agreement that you should have made arrangements for inclement weather. Was a state of emergency called? Maybe you have grounds to fight it legally. I've thought about what if I worked in a position when I really needed to go in. I made a mental note that I can technically walk 45 minutes to train station, take a train to the town my job is in, and then walk another 30 minutes to work. It would be a 2 hr commute but I'd make it in, lol
