  1. Hi Stacie! I only used this HESI book to study and I got a 95. https://www.amazon.com/Admission-Assessment-Exam-Review-HESI/dp/1455703338/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1542377454&sr=8-8&keywords=hesi+assessment+exam+review The essay was fairly easy to complete despite how bad the topic just threw me off guard (I wasn't expecting such a light-hearted topic). I had a page and a half; a few people in this thread did too. Just like tiffanymae said, I think they're more concerned with whether or not you can form coherent sentences, so that honestly should be the least of your worries hun. Plus, they take you on a tour around the School of Nursing building before taking the essay which definitely helps to relax you. As far as the HESI score goes, definitely try to get an 80 or above since 80 is the minimum, but also don't put too much pressure on yourself. From what I was told, they look at everything (HESI, GPA, interview, and essay) equally and assign points, so if you don't do well in one, you always have the other three to fall back on. I hope this helped! Destiny
  2. You have to validate your registration/information before you can register for classes when they become available. It's listed under the course registration bullet in the new student info packet. No worries, though, I figured out how do log in and do it. Thank you!
  3. Does anyone know what website we need to go to in order to validate registration?
  4. We have to confirm by the 22
  5. I'm late with it, but I had a 3.4 GPA and 95 HESI
  6. You two are gonna get in. I have faith.
  7. YALL THEY'RE SENDING EMAILS. I GOT IN!!! Congrats to the rest of you that get your acceptances throughout the rest of the week!!
  8. @nanare, I really agree with you on the wishing we had more time to tour the campus. I felt like my tour was so rushed. We didn't even get to see everything, and to answer your question, I think she said we'll hear back by the end of that week. @KailaG, the essay prompt really threw me off guard. I was able to finish but I'm hoping it won't hurt my chances since I only had a page and a half. It's probably not the big of a deal but I'm low-key stressing.
  9. I scheduled mine for 1:30 on September 19.
  10. I scheduled mine for 1:30 on the 19th
  11. I've only gotten to the first question. It is to choose a core value from the school of nursing and provide an example of how you implemented it. Also thanks for the tip on dressing professionally. It totally slipped my mind.
  12. I'm so late but LSU contacted me about the form and the fee a day or two after I submitted my application. Also, the interview is first. I received an email about it today.
  13. I took the HESI today and it WAY easier than I thought it would be. I got a 95!!
  14. Hi! Congrats on such a high score!! All is well with me. I'm prepping to take the hesi within the next four weeks. I wanted to give myself some time to be able to retake it if need be but life happened lol. Did you take lsu's hesi on campus? Also, are there any other sections on LSU's hesi besides English, biology, math, and chemistry?
  15. Hi guys, I plan on applying as well!! I haven't taken the HESI yet but I plan to maybe late May/early June. I'm not completely done with my prereqs yet. I'm taking college algebra and psych this summer. Have any of you heard anything about Nicholls's BSN program? I've been considering applying there as well.
