Thank you! At this point, UVA is where I will be attending which is completely fine with me because I love that campus and how the program is set up. Haha I check Surfs like 5 times a day too! At this point, I just wanna know already!!

Yes!! And it is driving me nuts! I had my interview on the 26th of March. It was very successful IMO and I also mentioned I would need to hear back soon since I got accepted to UVA CNL program.

Mine still says 'committee ready'!

Out of curiosity, for those who have already received a notification for an interview, does UMD SON typically send the email in the morning or afternoon?

Hello! I feel your frustration. It is hard handing over a piece of paper with a number on it hoping it lets you in the door. My undergrad GPA is a 3.3, so like you, I don't feel that it is good enough. Luckily however my science GPA (I think what they count as a science GPA is Chem, AP 1&2, and micro) is a lot higher because I've been taking those classes outside of my undergrad. I've heard that the science GPA for Maryland is regularly looked at over the cumulative GPA. How long ago did you take those science GPA classes? Is it possible for you to change over some of those Bs or Cs into an A? My friend is trying to get into PT school and is experiencing the same issue. I do hope you get an interview! Clearly this is something you are passionate about and could easily relay that across in an interview. Do not lose hope. I submitted my app in the end of December and still have not heard anything for an interview.

It means they are now going to forward your application to the committee for review to decide if they want to bring you in for an interview! haha. Congrats!

That's great advice! I've heard from previous applicants that the essay was very overwhelming. Still hoping I hear back soon about an interview. I applied in end of December. Still trying to figure out what these programs are specifalooking for in an applicant.
