I currently work with my BSN in a hospital in Arizona trying to transfer to California. The board of nursing sent me a letter stating I need to take a Microbiology course with a lab. I called the CA state board of nursing twice and received 2 different answers whether or not they will accept an online course with a lab. The first time I called, they said they will accept it. The second time I called, to verify through which schools, they said it has to be a hybrid course. I've looked into Trident University of CA, University of Phoenix and Arapahoe Community College of Colorado, which all three offer the course, with a lab, online. And all three are regionally accredited.
