Hi guys - can anyone give me anymore insight on the HOAE test? How long after applying did you have to write/book the test? And what material should I know for Chemistry/biology. I have no science background and am SO nervous to write it. I just applied today. I've already purchased the study book they recommend. Thank you so much in advance!

Anyone hear from humber about course registration or anything for placement? I feel like we’ve gotten 0 communication.

Has anyone that has accepted Humber began anything to do with placement requirements (such as vaccinations, courses, police check)? Or emailed regarding such as we haven’t had any recent updates.

I am! ?I also wouldnt mind it being online for the first semester as it’d help me have a more open schedule to work after all this. I also only need Anatomy and Pathophysiology, which I took when I did the prep semester 2 years ago. ?

My GPA when applying was 3.91, then ended at 3.94. Yeah I’m assuming it was my personal statement, but I tried to answer in similar ways I did on the Caspar and was accepted to Trent and York first round. @AmeliaWan I actually did the prep semester at humber then decided to take a break. I moved home alone from Halifax and honestly was so mentally drained I decided to give myself a break and just work/travel a bit. Reapplied to Humber only this year - loved my profs, and have a coworker just graduating the accelerated program this year who raves about it. I got accepted first week of Feb so I’m looking forward to finally doing it!

UOFT’s application status never changed for me until I didn’t get accepted two years ago. I actually got rejected within a week of them sending out the acceptances. Was a bit surprised because I had a 3.94 GPA, coached swimming, volunteered at a gym and physio clinic for two years, and had a full time job all throughout my undergrad.

Anyone know of a humber group on facebook? ?

I also got accepted the 13th, got an email, but no package in the mail!

Is anyone able to pay the tuition deposit for humber? I don’t see how to do it.

Hahaha yes that’s right! I actually at first was like... “is this my last chance?” Hahaha but if you click the help it says final offer is what it should be. I just got an email a few minutes ago but OCAS usually takes a day or two to update. I’m so happy ?

got into humber this AM! ? I actually went for the prep semester two years ago and struggled. It wasn’t hard but i didn’t get approved for osap and was just struggling to work full time, live on my own and manage school. My GPA when I applied last time was 3.63, and 3.87 by the end of my final semester. With my prep courses it went back down to 3.61 for this admission session!

Anyone keep getting full disclosure emails from Humber? I know I’ve submitted my one university transcript but it’s making me feel I forgot something? It’s my top choice so I’m freaking out but my transcript was sent three weeks ago. Definitely just going crazy thinking but overthinking it somehow didn’t get to them!

Also got into Western thursday. I've also received acceptances to York, Trent and Humber. Still waiting on UofT which is my first choice.

You'll still start in January, but they should have sent you an email confirming you have all the prep courses or what you still need to take if they haven't already! I only have to take anatomy and patho!! :)

For anyone that has gotten into York - I was accepted on myfile Friday but haven't received any emails or anything yet. How long did it take for you guys?

Honestly my last two years currently isn't well.. on the 4.0 is 3.51 and 4.3 is 3.61. I currently have 90's in 3/5 classes and 85 and 87 in the other two so my final GPA will be alooooot better.. hopefully enough for UofT. I guess I just did super well on the casper. My last three semesters currently were all above 4.0 on the 4.3 scale, but I had one super low semester (two C's) that won't count when the final grades come out. I also had some poor marks in 1st year and have a failed course, so if I can get in I'm sure you can too!

Hey guys! Just got accepted into Trent today. I was also surprised as I didn't think my casper went too well. I've heard from Trent and Humber, but waiting to hear from UofT, York and Western. I'm hoping to go to UofT or Humber - does anyone have any comparisons for these two programs? TIA :)

I got accepted into Humber yesterday as well! It was only on MyHumber, and updated onto ontariocolleges this morning. I didn't receive an email. I'm so happy because Humber and UOFT are my top choices. Can anyone give me insight on the Humber program? Or if I can get exempt from classes in the prep semester - I have stats, microbiology, anatomy and psych at Dal. As for my GPA, my last two years on the 4.0 was 3.54, last year was 3.93 and overall was 3.3. On the 4.3 (which is what humber uses) I believe my last two years was 3.62, last year was 4.16 and overall was 3.37.

@s6sr Congrats! Was this on the 4.3 scale (what humber uses)? I have a 3.61 on the 4.3 and 3.51 on the 4 in my last two years and haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully I hear soon.

Hey guys, I've applied to Trent, Western, York, UofT and Humber for this upcoming fall. I'm super nervous about getting accepted, but my grades are fairly good. My current last year on the 4.0 scale is 3.94, and if I change that my final should be around 3.97 (based on all my current grades in my courses). My current last 2 years on the 4.0 is 3.51, and should be about 3.79 by the end. I know humber calculates based on the 4.3 scale which is what my university uses now, so I have a 3.61 in my last 2 years and this should be 3.98 by the end. Do you guys know if this current winter semester gets calculated in the GPA they use for acceptances sent out in May/June? I know this would increase my chances significantly.
