Pace University ABSN Spring 2019
Hi all! Has anyone been accepted off the waitlist? Any idea when they might be finished with acceptances? I'm assuming they only reach out if you get a spot from the waitlist (and won't say anything if you don't get a spot), but I don't want to be sitting here waiting until January before I realize my chances are over. AHHH. The admissions office almost never responds to my questions.

When did you all graduate college? I did in 2008. Just wondering where we're all at in life :) Sarah - no email for me yet! Interviews make me nervous too. From what I've read, it seems like it's less of an interview (since it's a group thing); you just have to answer a couple questions. Hopefully that's less stressful!

MJSfuturenurse: I know you know this, but you're going to be fine! You have such a good attitude about moving forward which is great! That's all we can do sometimes, right? It's so easy to get discouraged but we've gotta fight through that to get to the good stuff...if we all gave up when discouraged or "denied", we wouldn't get anywhere :) (I'm more saying this "out loud" to remind myself of it all, haha). I haven't heard anything yet; I did do well on most of my prereqs but my undergraduate grades (from ten years ago!!) weren't too great so I'm worried that might sway the decision. AHHHHHH

Hi Jen! I'm so sorry to hear about your car accident...but very glad to know you're getting back to school and therefore hopefully feeling well again! I tried to message you but it wouldn't let me because I haven't posted on this site enough, I guess...but I was just going to ask what you thought of the program. Thanks so much in advance! mesahp01 - if you google "Pace applicant portal" you should find the site. Just click on the link to find your username and password. (Once you're there, make sure you select "applicants" from the menu at the bottom.)

I'm waiting for a couple of my application items to be updated as well. I'm hoping they're just busy and haven't had a chance to enter them yet...although one transcript is missing and it was sent over three weeks ago (along with others, which are already entered in the system). I sent an email to admissions but haven't heard back yet. Please let us know what they say if you do hear from them! Does anyone know if everyone who's accepted does the interview first, or can some people be accepted without an interview? Just wondering. AHHH good luck everyone!

Hi all! So good to hear from you both! Futurenurse0313, is the other school you're applying to in the New York or New Jersey area? I actually don't know a lot of specifics about how competitive it is...from looking at previous posts on this site, it seems like there are a lot of applicants, and the Pace website says they accept 64 applicants I believe..which makes me think it would be pretty competitive! I think they only accept spring applicants at the Westchester campus, and then if you wanted to attend at the NYC campus, you would have to attend starting in the fall.

Accelerated BSN and Hospital Experience
Hi all! I'm applying to an accelerated second-degree BSN program. For those of you who are in programs like this and who had a completely different first bachelor's degree...did you have much experience working or volunteering in hospitals/health care settings? If so, how much/what did you do? Thanks!
