Mostly because the tuition is half the price of NYU. Spoke with a lot of nurses (some who went to NYU) and they advised with me to go with the cheaper option as they're still paying off their debt 8-9 years since graduating. Also spoke with some people who went to PSON (not ABSN) and they had nothing but amazing things to say about the program. One PSON alumni messaged me that "everyone I work with always asks me where I went to school. They always tell me they an see a difference especially when we do rounds and talk about patients care. Always say how knowledgeable and thorough I am. I was def taught that at school...)

No you don't have to accept or send in the deposit to be attend admitted students night.

Where have you heard Mount Sinai put out a memo they're hiring 140+ nurses?

There were about 10 students at accepted students night and they didn't talk about acceptance rate or how many applicants have been accepted already.

I was asked about a specific class on 4/1 and got accepted 4/4. Good luck!

I work for the government and those suggestions aren't an option unfortunately.

Are you currently in this program or did you graduate?

Some people are accepted for Fall 2019 because they were able to defer their May acceptance for August. I deferred to August because I still have some prereqs left. Has anyone been frustrated with their lack of communication? I feel like I can't ever get anyone to get back to me. Anyone been in touch with someone that has graduated from the ABSN program? I can't find any information about this program or reviews.

I am leaving my job in August and will be losing my health insurance, anyone in the same situation or have any advice what I can do about health insurance? I don't think PSON offers school health insurance.

Thanks ClaudiaJast! Congratulations to you too! Did you put down a deposit for any school yet? I put down a deposit for Mount Sinai because I heard back from them very early and didn't think I would get into NYU. I still have not decided yet. I am going to the accepted student orientation tomorrow and hoping I'll have a better idea of which school is for me after that. I haven't looked into any scholarships but I heard they are very limited and it's mostly need based which I'm afraid I won't qualify because of my income at my current job even though be jobless in August to go to school.

I was in the first group to be accepted and have until this Thursday to accept/reject. I think a lot of offers will come when they get a better idea of how many people accepted/rejected from the first round of acceptances. I am going to an accepted students orientation Wednesday and will be making my decision Thursday (no choice). NYU is my first choice if tuition wasn't an issue but $100k for tuition is making it a very hard decision.

I've paid my deposit to Mount Sinai a few weeks ago and just got accepted to NYU and I'm having a very hard time deciding between both schools. If tuition wasn't an issue, I would pick NYU hands down,. Would love to know why you are picking NYU. I also have taken my prerequisites at BMCC in 2018. Maybe we were classmates ?

Hi llrr9, I have been accepted to Mount Sinai a few weeks ago and paid my deposit but just got my acceptance letter to NYU yesterday and having a hard time deciding which school to attend. If tuition wasn't an issue, I would pick NYU hands down but I don't know if the extra $40k would be worth it. If anyone has any other insight between ABSN Mount Sinai and ABSN NYU, I would love to hear what more information.
