  1. @RNJacksonville91 I’ve heard the same. I’m going to purchase UWORLD in June. I’ll be testing sometime in July so 6-8 weeks should be plenty of time.
  2. Hello @B-fantastic, Congratulations on getting accepted into EVC. It's very difficult getting accepted into a nursing program nowadays. The EVC nursing program times and days will change per semester, depending on who your instructors will be. EVC is a 4-semester program (Fall, Spring, Fall, Spring). When you are in the 3rd semester, you have the option of bridging to SJSU which will include taking 2 classes at EVC. You will not have to go to SJSU for any of the bridge classes while you are enrolled in the EVC program. Personally, I did the SJSU bridge program but didn't get accepted in their nursing program. Apparently I was missing a class or so and they completely denied my application even though I had done their bridge classes. At this point, I have applied to other CSU's to try to do my BSN which only takes 1 year to complete. If you have the money and resources to get into a university from the beginning I would do so especially if you're accepted this Fall 2020. If you start at EVC in 2021, that means you will finish with your BSN until Fall 2024. If you choose to start with your university you will probably be done a year before that. I guess it all depends on your resources at this point. I decided to go straight to a college because I didn't qualify for FAFSA and I knew I didn't have the money to pay for a university at that time. Then again, my admission is not guaranteed at SJSU, therefore it wasn't even worth it for me. If you have any other questions please let me know.
  3. Thank you for your feedback. I’ll definitely purchase UWORLD soon and start studying. I just finished peds and all I’m needing is mental health and a few more weeks of med-surg but I should be okay.
  4. Thank you for the advice. Should I start now or wait until I graduate?
  5. Thank you for your advice. I still need mental health and a little bit more of med-surg to complete. I wasn’t sure if I should start studying information I know I’m done with like fundamentals, OB, pediatrics now, that way it’s more fresh on my mind as I go.
  6. Should I start studying now or after graduation?
  7. Hi Everyone, I am in my last semester of nursing school and haven’t done any study questions or looked into useful tools for preparing for NCLEX. From experience, when would be a good time to study for the NCLEX? After graduation or right now during my last semester of nursing school? Also, what are some good websites or books to study for the NCLEX? Has anyone tried using NRSNG for their NCLEX prep? Thanks in Advance!
  8. Great! Thank you so much.
  9. Hi Everyone, I am currently a 2nd-semester nursing student at EVC and will be starting the bridge program at SJSU this Fall 2019 from EVC ? Good luck to everyone!
  10. Hi Everyone, I will be briding over this Fall 2019 to SJSU for Nursing School and I need to take the WST prior to taking English 100W. For those of you that have taken it, is it hard? Any tips would be helpful. I will be taking the WST this July and would like to know if I should prepare or study anything in particular.
  11. Hi nursingstudent1007, I am on my 2nd semester of nursing school at EVC. Nursing school is hard but manageable. I am still able to go to school full-time, work, play volleyball twice a week and spend time with family/friends. It's all about how you manage your time and how you really grasp the information. Others might say it's the most difficult thing ever but 2nd semester into the program I don't think that.
  12. Hi Katarina, Sorry for the late response. EVC will pay for the first 2 classes for free. When you are done with EVC you will bridge over to SJSU and pay the regular tuition for the remainder of the classes. I will be bridging to SJSU this Fall as well as start my 3rd semester of Nursing School. I will not pay anything for SJSU.
  13. Hello Loefaith, I was an alternate student for Fall 2017. I was not notified until July/August if I was going to start that year. Many people drop and you get assigned an alternate number. If you get lucky a few numbers get called to come in the first 2 Weeks of school. I was not called, therefore I had to wait 1 year to get in. Now I'm scheduled to start the RN program this Fall. Just keep checking your email and keep track of your alternate number once it's given to you by Adrienne.
  14. I will keep you posted. If you have Instagram just add me so we can keep in touch and I can send you messages if I hear anything as I really don't log into this platform daily. My username is jessfxo_
  15. Hi Ocean43, I haven't heard anything yet. I emailed Adrienne about 1 week ago and she still hasn't responded back to my e-mail. I just asked her when are we expected to hear for Fall 2018. I did the orientation last year. I wonder if we need to do it again. Have you heard anything?
