  1. It is the same as job hopping . What job do you know that would allow you to transfer with less than a year experience, therefore you would have to job hop . Secondly in order to find your niche if your not happy , and it’s been less than a year you would have to job hop right ? Lmao Lastly , there is nothing wrong with job hopping , do what makes you happy , not what makes others happy especially if you live in a huge city , with many hospitals , and especially if the need for nursing is immense, which It currently is . Have a great day and stay blessed .
  2. It actually is and is becoming common . I know many people who have moved around plenty of times before finding their niche in nursing , not waiting a year and moving around . I have always recommended to new nurses if you aren’t happy then leave there is no need to stick around if your miserable . Find what makes you happy .
  3. I left because of the nursing and surgeon bullying but that’s just the culture of that institution ,
  4. Actually it ended up working out great and I was able to move to the Job I wanted there is nothing wrong with job hopping . Staying in a position that makes you miserable isn’t the way to go because you’re doing a disservice to your self and your patients . I followed my heart and now I’m happy . In order to make it in life you have to take risks and it has always worked out for me . I also work in the OR part time as well I just needed a better environment .
  5. I was an OR nurse for 10 months , and I didn't like it . I decided that I wanted to go to floor because my goal was critical care, and because after working with CRNA's I really enjoyed watching what they did. I got Hired into a step down but then was told I am going to the neuro medsurg , it's only been a week, and I dont really like it . I want to do critical care but in the PICU. I am a great nurse to my patients but I want to love what I do , but I dont and I'm very overwhelmed. How do I handle this , I want to love my unit but I don't. It's a great unit and there is a lot of support but still I feel lost and uninterested .
  6. Yes there is but right now they are on a hiring freeze .
  7. I am also interested in their CRNA program , but i need to get ICU experience, which i will get when i transfer mid-may next year. If you do not mind me asking what are your credentials ? How many years of icu experience do you have? Do you recommend becoming charge nurse or a preceptor if your not good in leadership roles?
  8. i think you should still apply, and speak about what has happened in your personal statement . Speak about your growth as a student , and your passion for nursing. Some of the best nurses i have met , did not always have good G.P.A's but are excellent nurses. Apply to AbSN Programs that look at students in a holistic way . Maybe you can take some classes , to boost up your over all G.P.A . Do you have any volunteering experience? There are so many ways you can boost your application. If this is your dream then pursue it .
  9. I do think it takes brilliance to get into med school or nursing school . It's not something that everyone can do . I don't think my definition is loose at all , you came off a tad bit rude, relax have some water .
  10. I'm a new nurse in the OR , but I plan on transferring to PICU or SICU next year . You got into medical school so you must be brilliant . How did you study in CRNA school , how many hours a day and week ? Did you still have a social life ? Was your program front loaded? Or classes with clinicals ? I'm in NY so most of my options are Columbia or Rutgers one jersey . Most people say cRNA school is the most difficult thing , I believe it as difficult but I see people with kids doing it . It may require a lot of studying but it's not Med school .
  11. You will hear like the week before don't worry
  12. Black or white sneakers and just buy any color hunter green scrubs . A lot of people love figs but I liked Cherokee and they are super affordable . No one had sea foam green all hunter green .
  13. Black or white shoes and just buy any color hunter green scrubs . A lot of people love figs but I liked Cherokee and they are super affordable .
  14. It went great and I was told that I would hear something in 2 weeks .
  15. Hey I recieved an email for brief phone interview for hunter's NP program. Is this something new they are doing now?
