  1. Can't speak for the others but I applied to an actual NICU position, not the fellowship. Maybe you can try that as well? I have experience (not related to NICU or women's health) though. I'm not a new grad.
  2. Hi! I work at a hospital and two nurses have Fridays and Saturdays off every week for Sabbath. As recommended by others, try finding a hospital that has a Jewish affiliation and the managers there will be more understanding.
  3. Anyone get offered a position but didn't get a tour of the unit? I thought my interview went okay but they didn't offer me a tour of the unit :(
  4. It's funny because I did the opposite transition. I had a negative experience at my chronic clinic. We opened from 4:30am - 11:30pm MWF. TTS was a little better, usually 4:30am-6pm (the latest). The work is "easy" but the hours aren't. Many nurses I spoke to left because they hated the early or long hours. Not all clinics are the same though. Try it and see if you like it.
  5. I’m so happy for you! Congratulations! Thank you for the information! I was lucky enough to secure a position at a city hospital earlier this week. Not my first choice but better than my current situation I’ll try again for Northwell in a year or two. I hope you’ll hear back soon!
  6. I haven’t heard anything back, so I guess I’m out of the running this time. I did have an interview for LIJ’s ED October Fellowship back in September but didn’t make it. It was simple. Here are some questions I remember: Tell me about yourself, tell us about your experience, how would your co-workers describe you, and there was a clinical scenario question. Best of luck to everyone!!
  7. Congrats! I am very happy for you. I hope your interview goes well! Thank you for your insight.
  8. @mrg-BSN-RN Congrats! I hope your interview goes well and you’ll get an offer. May I ask which hospital and fellowship you heard back from?
  9. @Curlynursern Congrats! I am very happy for you. Are you a new grad or do you have some experience? @mrg-BSN-RN You're welcome! I heard back from LIJ about three weeks ago. They sent me a link to submit an on-demand video interview, which is just answering questions on video and submitting them. I submitted it the day after I received the link. I haven't heard anything back yet.
  10. Yup. They’re probably not going to start sending out video interview invitations for a long while.
  11. Hello, I applied to a few of the July 2022 fellowships. I received a call back for an April 2022 fellowship position I applied to tho. I also completed my recorded video interview a week ago. I haven't heard anything back yet.
  12. Hello, I decided to make a thread for everyone who's applied to Northwell's April 2022 fellowships. I applied to all of the April 2022 ED fellowships.
  13. For those of you who made it in: Do they allow you to use vacation time/PTO? I know there's a 90-day wait from the employment start date before you can begin using it, but are you allowed to use it before the fellowship is over? Thanks.
  14. Also, Congrats to everyone who received an offer!
