  1. What dates are people’s interviews?
  2. When I reached out, they said they had over 100 applicants for 18 seats
  3. I reached out yesterday, and yes, they are sending them out in waves. They had a lot of applicants this year and they expect the interview and final decision making process to possibly carry over into the new year.
  4. Congrats! Did you hear by phone or email?
  5. From looking at last year’s posts, they should come out the 2ish weeks.
  6. I know the GRE was waived last year because of the difficulty of registering for the test and closure of testing sites. But I don’t know if that’s still the case. As far as what I can find on the website, the GRE is a requirement. Maybe call admissions to confirm?
  7. Congrats! I've heard CMC is pretty difficult, so good job. Yeah I didn't think about the impact covid would have on the bureaucratic side of healthcare too. But whatever, I got through it. When do you think you'll submit your application?
  8. So I finally got my RN license last week, and I just applied last night! Feels like a weight off honestly. A little advice if you're not an MA RN, start the process of getting your license now. It took me 10 months and I had to deal with a lot of bureaucracy throughout. It was exhausting.
  9. I don't actually need to wait. It was just a personal preference. I didn't want any loose ends to tie up after I applied. Good luck on the CMC!
  10. Not yet. My plan was to apply once I get an MA RN license. But it's taken over 10 months to get it. I have all my other docs uploaded and waiting for me to hit send though. You?
  11. Looks like its just you and me, homie. Makes me feel pretty good about our chances of getting in.
  12. I got a call from them yesterday inviting me for an interview session on 5/27! They said its entirely zoom-based. First will be a presentation of Pitt's program, then we breakout into interviews (3 individual interviews with faculty, 1 interview with a graduating student, and 1 with a current student where we ask questions about Pitt and the city and all our curiosities). We reconvene for a final wrap up session in the afternoon. Sounds like an all day event!
  13. Hello! I decided to start a thread for those applying to BC's DNP CRNA program starting in 2022. I'm actually surprised no one else made one yet. But now we can talk with each other and share this experience together! I'm excited for it!
  14. Hey guys! I just applied last night, and every hour that I don't hear back feels like a week, haha. Congrats to everyone who were already accepted! How was the interview process?
  15. I'm interested in doing some travel nursing in ICUs (hopefully CVICUs) around New England, and Providence, RI is on my short list of destinations. Now, I know some of the major hospital systems MA and CT well, but nothing in RI. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience traveling to that area, what the market is like, any insights from your time there? Thanks!
  16. Hi guys. I was notified of my acceptance today, but due to family obligations I'll be declining admission. So CONGRATS to one of the lucky waitlisters!
  17. I am working (and excelling, according to my managers) as a first-year RN at a great hospital that has really helped to foster my professional development. I've taken classes, gotten certified, held leadership roles. Everything. It's been awesome. The only issue is that this job has put me in a long distance relationship with my fiancee. Now I'm a little older than most first year nurses because nursing is my second career, and my fiancee and I feel the urge to settle down and start a family together. I've been looking at jobs near my fiancee since she's not in an industry that allows for changes in location. I've been given the opportunity to interview at my top choice hospital around my fiancee, for whom I could envision working for a long time. But I have a good working relationship with my management, and I feel like they are really grooming me to be a leader on the unit. And if I told them I want to leave them after only a year, they might be devastated. And I fear that devastation would make them blackball me or something. This is a very influential hospital and healthcare system. But this year of long distance relationship has been gut-wrenching for my fiancee and I, we hate the distance; and we've struggled to cope with it for this long, I cant imagine going significantly longer. So, is being blackballed a realistic fear? This company has a policy (that I've found is actually pretty common) that states employees have to work at their post for 24 months before applying for internal transfers, so coworkers always talk about "just getting my 24 and moving on". And there's going to be a bunch of senior nurses leaving for grad school in the upcoming months as well. Would I be considered just another RN who's leaving, or would I be seen as a "defector"? I just want to know if other people have had experience in similar situations of resigning for family reasons and how employers received the news. Thanks!
  18. Okay, thanks jmarkCCRN.
  19. A little late here... I'm looking for VA ICU jobs now and am interested in USAGPAN. Are the Phase II interviews predictive of where your Phase II placement will be? Or is clinical placement a separate process that happens later on in the program?
