  1. Yes. I start in less than a month!
  2. Really well. I was accepted!
  3. Just got my acceptance offer email.
  4. Our interview day was also cut in half. It went by at a decent pace.
  5. I'm from Seattle (UW) and will be driving along with a coworker who also got an interview. Possibly mid/late Sunday. Wouldn't mind meeting up with you guys! We'll see once we have our driving plan figured out.
  6. Received my 2019 start KU interview invitation email today. Interviews will be October 16-19th
  7. A few of you have said Gonzaga is your top choice. Would you care to elaborate why? I just want to hear everyone's opinion :.)
  8. I also applied and interviewed at Rush in Chicago. I should hear back from them before aineven interview at Gonzaga. I'm from Seattle sonGonzaga would be easier to attend and move to.
  9. Just got my interview invitation for Gonzaga. Orientation session is Oct 8th, with interviews happening after that on Oct 8, 9, and 10th. Three 20 min sessions with students, faculty, and director.
  10. You must have been in the program by now. What are your thoughts? Did you interview anywhere else? Do you regret or are you glad you went with Gonzaga?
  11. Yes. So, they won't make any decision or anything until Oct 3rd. There's still one more group to interview. On the 3rd they review ALL the applications and make acceptance or rejection decisions then. Mass emails go out Oct 4th with either sad or good news. The wait is killing me.
  12. I've been looking for info about KU's interview dates/acceptance/denial letters. That's why I was trying to add you as a friend. Thanks
  13. Interview was chill. Really dig the program and the director. Edit: Wow this is a 2016 post. My bad.
  14. Good luck! Hope all goes well. I would like to hear back how it went. Don't need specifics just how the atmosphere was.
  15. Hey, So I found out some general info. Nothing too specific but it should help. There will be basic ACLS stuff, ECG (a strip, not a 12 lead) interpretation, possible ABG question, and which pressor would you use for which situation type of question. Eg. Wouldn't use Epi on someone who's extremely tachy, or strict vaso for someone with low cardiac output. You'll also get personality questions, so make sure you know why you want to be a CRNA, why Rush, etc. Also, make sure you know your resume inside out because they will ask directly from your resume. Math test is very simple from what I was told from old students. Eg. If you want to give 200mcg Epi, how much would you push from a 1mg syringe? (2ml). You get it. See you guys on the 7th
  16. I'm also interviewing on the 7th. From what I've heard the interview isn't horrible. I've been told that it is a one on one with faculty. It has two parts; one is clinical, one is the whole why CRNA, why Rush, etc. There's also a written test (CCRN style, and math problems??), and an ACLS type scenario. Learn pressors well, they ask you to give as much detail about one drug as possible. Good luck to everyone!
  17. I just received an interview offer at Rush. I was wondering if you could shed some light on the interview process :)
  18. Hello Guys! I'm applying 2018 for 2019 start. However, I've tried calling and emailing Duke's SON (School of Nursing) but the mail keeps bouncing back. I'm trying to figure out what exactly fulfills the following requirement: "The bachelor's or post-bachelor's course work must include satisfactory completion of a course in descriptive and inferential statistics." Would Introduction to Statistics be enough? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  19. I'm 99.999% sure the fact that I did not get an interview has nothing to do with my race/ethnicity. I am just very curious as to why so I can strengthen my application for the following year. I wonder if I forgot something or my personal statement was not as good as others. In any event, I hope those of you who got interviews nail them and get accepted! Please do come back and share your interview experiences.
  20. I feel you Fentanyl, I also got rejected. I have a couple of coworkers who applied this cycle with me and they got interviews but I didn't. My resume/experience was better, so I don't know what they're looking for. I have more ICU experience, as well as pacu and bilingual in Spanish (I'm mexican, so I checked the minority box).
  21. My birthday is on the 16th, so I hope I either get an interview off BEFORE, or get rejected AFTER. I never thought waiting would be so hard.
  22. I have a few old colleagues from my hospital that are in your program currently. I was told that the personal statement did not have that great of an impact. Now I'm concerned I won't even get an interview. 5 years RN experience, 3 CTICU/CCU, 2 PACU/OR 3.98 BSN GPA Bilingual (Spanish) Involved in many committees Volunteer at free healthcare clinic My stats now seem not that great.
