SBVC ADN fALL 2019
I believe RCC has the RN-BSN agreement with CSUF so that's something consider. Otherwise, if you live near SB College, I would stay put for the sake of commute times (lectures, clinicals, study groups, etc.,.). Doesn't seem like much now but it will be less stress in the long run.

SBVC ADN fALL 2019
Guys, I got the acceptance letter but it is forwarded to Robyn, from Sana Massad (the director). Is this correct? I guess I can't believe it yet!

My result is 82% and kinda bummed. I got 98 in the math portion but didn’t do so well everywhere else. :(

For the Elsevier registration, we only have to create an account, not make a payment right? Sorry for the last minute question. I am in a panic. >_<

Nothing in particular, just that by this time the forums are really active. How is all the studying going?

SBVC ADN fALL 2019
For some reason, it seems awfully quiet in these SBVC threads for Fall 2019. Am I missing something? ?

SBVC ADN fALL 2019
I’m using the Elsevier book along with whatever resources I can find online. Also trying to study as much as possible after work. The exam being on a Friday really threw me off.

Using their official point system, I calculated 45 points prior to Hesi invitation. I’m curious about the cutoff too.

I received the email invite around 5pm as well. It’s about to get real. I’m nervous!

San Bernardino Valley College (Fall 2019)
From what I've heard, the TEAS is more challenging than the HESI. If you scored 89% on the TEAS exam then you're definitely on the right track. For science gpa, I asked the counselor if they'll use the highest Psychology grade and unfortunately, only the grade from PSYCH 1 will be considered. I have an A in PSYCH25 and a B in PSYCH1 so you can understand my frustration.

I was trying for Mt. Sac as well but the HESI dates filled up so fast! SBVC is strict and won't take outside scores (according to the nursing counselor, Athena).

Anatomy and Physiology 2
Had to cram Micro and Physio in one semester so I feel your pain. How are you studying? If your instructor assigns powerpoints, I would take notes on them during lecture. I also bought anatomy flashcards as study aid (about $5-7 on Amazon) and use Khan academy + YouTube for any topics I'm not grasping.

My grades for the sciences are A, A, B, B. I got B's in Anatomy and Psych (I believe this is included too).

I applied too and waiting for HESI invitation. May I ask what is your science GPA? Also, it seems awfully quiet this year, not sure why. Hope to hear from you. ?

San Bernardino Valley College Spring 2019
If you don't mind me asking, did they calculate your points off the new point system? It seems to be more competitive so it's a but nerve-racking.

San Bernardino Valley College Fall 2018 Applicants
Thank you. Blah, looks like I'll be retaking Psych1.

Mt. Sac Nursing Spring 2019
I apologize for butting in, but my friend told me the point system changed very recently? Would anyone mind chiming in?

San Bernardino Valley College Fall 2018 Applicants
For those going in as second degree student (science gpa taken from Anatomy, Physio, Micro, Psych), would they look at Psych 1 or Psych 25/LifeSpan? I took Psych 1 over ten years ago with a B, but earned an A in Psych 25/LifeSpan very recently. I really have a shot if they calculate the Lifespan course. :/

Did SBVC say why they didn't accept them? I am trying to transfer sciences in from San Joaquin Valley (Ontario private school).

Get over California.
Come to the Inland Empire in SoCal. Starting pay for new RN's is about ~35/hr give or take; my friends with associates have been able to find jobs without issue. $300k-$400k gets you a comfortable two story home built in the 2000's.
