  1. did anyone accept a job at choa?
  2. Has anyone applied to CHOA and heard back?
  3. I just got my invite as well! Im in clinical that day so I'm kinda freaking out!
  4. Congratulations! When was your phone interview? Anyone here applying to CHOA?
  5. I would email the recruiter to see! Sorry to keep asking you questions, but did you have a preceptorship, practicum, or any experience? I want to know how they're being with these floors because of the climate of everything going on with the pandemic.
  6. @futuree-nursee1109 I believe first and second week of October What do you mean by standard? I've never done this before haha!
  7. Hey, I just got the same email to set up a call! I'm so excited, yet nervous, I need to prepare!
  8. When did you last hear from XXXX?
  9. I wanted to apply today! I know people that work there already as techs, transporters, etc are starting to hear back and have interviews. I wanted to see if I could find a recruiter there first! Is anyone else writing cover letters? I think you applied to soon! They all start February/March, I believe you would be the Summer 2021 Residency Cohort
  10. Hey! I put some college since we don't have the degree yet ? Hey! Which recruiter was it that said they wanted to set up a call? I contacted a recruiter there on Monday and havent heard anything, do you think it would be okay if I contacted another recruiter?
  11. Hey everyone! What does your application status say with emory? mine says "received submission" and I applied in august! this is making me nervous !!
  12. I saw that! I am about to apply to Piedmont today. I am hoping no interviews are held during a clinical day!
  13. Hey everyone! I just applied to the Spring 2021 Residency here in Atlanta! I'll be graduating this December. I wanted to make a forum so everyone who has applied to this residency, or any residency in Atlanta, can stay up-to-date and informed! I'm so excited!! I am waiting for Piedmont to post the residency application for Spring 2021 as well
  14. @e.allen.s where was your practicum and did you have any medical background?
  15. @e.allen.sthank you for the advice! im definitely in between a rock and a hard place because I cant get an externship now due to covid19 and a lot of hospitals aren't hiring techs at the moment so I feel like I have nothing substantial on my resume besides clinical experience and the time period I volunteered at a hospital in a NICU. I'll definitely go get my ACLS but what is NIHSS?
  16. @Nurse_Ari2020 where does everyone on this thread go to school? So you have an interview with emory and piedmont, just not critical care? what departments are you interviewing with?
  17. @Nurse_Ari2020Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! Is there no way of them knowing if you're lying or not? Also did you have any previous hospital experience? I have none at all. On my resume, I have all my clinical experience and dates listed on when I did each clinical. So march was supposed to be my critical care clinical and I feel like they definitely know that I wasnt doing a clinical anywhere in March/April LOL. Also, do people put their GPA on their resume?
  18. Hey everyone! I am currently a student and I am graduating this Fall semester. I want to be prepared to apply for Emory and Piedmont for the Spring 2021 residency. I wanted to know where you guys find out when the applications will be posted. And also, did anyone apply while still being a student? When I look at requirements, it says that you must be a graduate but then I hear that some people apply in their final semester. Also, I am nervous I am not going to get a practicum. Apparently only a select few of students get chosen to have a practicum at my school and there is a possibility that no one will be doing a practicum at all this Fall due to COVID19. I am not sure how difficult this will make the job application process for myself. Stay safe and good luck everyone!
  19. Thats great, you're a competitive applicant! I haven't applied yet because I heard you have to take it within 5-7 days after you apply! Is that true or did you apply and already schedule your HESI exam?
  20. Also, do people mind sharing their GPA? I'm nervous with my 3.14...
  21. Oh awesome! Has anyone graduated in exactly 2 years or less?
  22. Hey! I just wanted to make a discussion board for anyone who may be applying to Chamberlain College of Nursing for the Fall 2018 semester. I haven't applied yet but plan to after May! I have a 3.14 GPA and haven't taken the HESI yet. I am also wondering if anyone knows any Chamberlain University student that graduated in under two years or two years exactly? I have all of my pre-reqs completed and I am just hoping they all transfer!
  23. I wish the best of luck to you!! :)
  24. Hi, I plan on applying Fall 2018. And we seem to have similar credentials! I just wanted to know if you were accepted or not!
