  1. thank you, kremlin. everyone on my floor is super supportive and the nurse manager for our floor absolutely loves me and went to bat for me the second time i didn't pass so i could keep my position. now that i have possibly failed a third time, i don't know what's going to happen. i don't want to get demoted to a CNA. not that there is anything wrong with being a CNA, but that's not what i went to school for and its incredibly discouraging.
  2. i've taken kaplan & hurst review. i own every review cd and book probably known to man kind. and if i don't pass.. i don't know what i am going to do. i got locked out at 171 questions. they were mostly TEACHING questions. i think i'm doomed. i got maybe 2 calculation questions, maybe 5 prioritizing, and now that i think about it .. i'm sure i got the last question wrong. it is just frustrating to know that the not so bright people in my class passed boards but i'm still struggling. i worked my butt off during nursing school and graduated a few months after my 20th birthday. i work as an extern on an oncology unit and that is my PASSION and i'm good at what i do and the patient's absolutely love me. sorry for being negative nancy. i just need to vent.
  3. ADN program. As far as I know, there is no waiting list. Yes, 26k covers tuition, books, and fees for the entire program (5 semesters, 18 months). Each semester is 15 weeks.
  4. I have only been at Ethel Bauer for two semesters and I have learned so much. I wish people wouldn't judge the school based on it's location. Yes, it's a fast paced program but I do perfectly fine on the unit. They completely prepare us for everything. Good luck, I hope you find the school you're looking for.
  5. Our first class hasn't graduated yet.
  6. You really cannot let the area and location be a deciding factor for you. It is really a great program and school.. As for whether you'll be able to work or not - I guess it just depends on what prerequisites you have. Some people in my semester don't have to take psychology, anatomy, etc. so their work load and class room time is obviously less so they're able to keep their jobs. Others, like myself, have to take every class so working would be impossible. First semester's schedule isn't that bad, though. Second semester is a different story. Would you be entering the program as a CNA or LPN? As far as I know, credits aren't currently transferable because of the accreditation. Honestly though, I think it is an amazing school. The professors are amazing and will do anything in their power to help you succeed.
  7. I'm currently in second semester at Ethel Bauer. What exactly do you want to know about it?
