Hi everyone! I suck at applying to this feed, just super busy. But, those who applied for Summer 2020, you probably won’t start January 2021 because of the pre-reqs at Brandman specifically. I’m currently completing the second required pre-req! Starting the nursing core next month ? And congratulations! ?

The courses are PSYU 320, LBSU 302 and LBSU 304.

@619nurse Hopefully they will allow the transfer! I know National is pricy, It would suck to have to retake the courses, especially Micro ?

@619nurse Yes, I transferred Micro and Stats from my previous college. I actually transferred every pre-req course over, except for the three courses I mentioned before that can only be taken at Brandman. I didn't have a problem with transferring my courses, therefore I didn't have a need to file a petition. My courses were also taken at a regional college, so I believe that's why they automatically transferred.

@619nurse yes, I was offered a permanent spot. I have all of the required pre-requisites finished except for the ones that can only be taken at Brandman (which are three classes). But, you cannot start the nursing core until all are finished.

I’m probably going to be per diem while I’m school, just have to work and save before starting the core courses. ?

Hey guys! I applied for priority Spring 2020 and was accepted! Starting in Jan 2020, but nursing courses won't start until Summer 2020. Meanwhile, I would have to finish a couple of pre-requisites that are only offered at Brandman.

It's going pretty well so far. As far as scheduling, if you haven't already taken the pre-reqs majority of the class has class M-F in the mornings.

There are no pre-reqs required for entry. But, while in the program pre-reqs you will need (or can take before hand at a community college so it's cheaper) are: Anatomy, Physiology, English, Math, Communications and Psychology. I think that's all of it.

Same, as long as we're still able to get our RN. license- I'm ok. Somewhere will accept me for RN-BSN

I am generic I got 94 on math, 84 on reading.

I just spoke to Patty earlier, but she'll have to give your courses to the DON to approve. It'll be done before classes start though, because she'll give you a form to sign off :)

Which community college we're you going to take them at? I took all of mine at San Diego Mesa College and they were all accepted

I finished my all of my general ed, except CS115- which you can only take a Brightwood and they were accepted. I'm not sure if you get more points for them, but like what @KT1028 pointed out, I believe it is based on those three things. I also agree with KT1028, they probably accepted 5 LVN's into the RN program, but I believe that they accept 30-35 students into the program in general.

I finished all of the pre-reqs, it was roughly 20k off tuition! Total saving

I got the call on Monday, that is very little for LVNs! Way more competitive!

I agree there are a lot of RN-BSN programs that only require a RN license.

Congrats! Although, the accreditation is still on edge with me, I honestly don't have a problem with it, as long as we're able to receive our RN license.
