  1. I felt the same way when I first started, sometimes I still do. It was rough for me the first few years. I had actually stepped away from it a few times just to get my head on straight, but I always came back to it. In the past I have done pain management, pediatrics, LTC and currently doing hospice. Dr offices were the least stressful, LTC was the worst. For me hospice seems to be the sweet spot, not too stressful but keeps me busy. Maybe try a different area in nursing. Really try to find a way to relieve the stress, for me running works I focus on my breathing and pacing for each breath. Deep breath, you got this
  2. OMG! yes autocorrect, its great until it makes you look like an idiot. LOL
  3. From my experience LPNs make less in Dr offices and most in Nursing homes/home health. NH you can expect to start around $16 as a brand new LPN. Hospitals usually dont hire LPNs. Good luck on your bridge program and job search.
  4. I have been a nurse for almost 10 years and have had my fair share of interviews, so I know what to expect. But for some reason I feel weird about going to a scheduled interview at a Dr office.... I had applied online through a job board. The job listing was a bit intimidating with the numerous BOLD print scattered throughout. Things like dont apply unless you can stay for 4 years or more, and requiring 10 years experience, have to be able to read and right at a college level, be able to do computer charting ect. I figured what the hay and applied anyways. I got the call back to do an interview. The office manager requested for me to bring some extra things to the interview like references (no biggie), to type up a list of schools attended specifying high school and nursing school, and to bring my LPN certificate so they can make a copy. I googled the Office/Dr as the Job listing didnt list Dr name or practice name, and the reviews are awful. Now I feel really weird about going to the interview, like it feels odd to me for some reason. Im not in a make or break situation I currently have a job (PRN) and was just looking for something for extra money. Should I go?
