Type of PICU experience for CRNA?
pick whichever unit has the highest acuity and offers the most opportunities for new grads. you want to be seeing the sickest patients - intubated, sedated/paralyzed, multiple drips and lines, and devices (ex: CRRT). some units won’t let new grad take intubated patients or devices the first year. keep that in mind and ask what kind of patients you will be taking and which devices they’ll let you train to

Marymount University 2018
Hi! I sent in 2 recommendations. I think it's always good to offer 2 point of views, so if you have 2 strong recommendations, then definitely do it. If you're unsure if one person will give a positive recommendation, then don't risk it. Does that make sense? As far as GPA/TEAS, I'm not sure I can give too much insight there. I had a 3.7 GPA and didn't need to take the TEAS. But maybe someone else has better info?

Marymount University 2018
I ended up deferring my acceptance to Fall 2018! I'm getting married May 7 on Maui, so admissions recommended I defer to avoid missing finals. Any of the current students have insight on financial aid options? If anyone is moving to NOVA, I would say the most affordable places are in Alexandria, Franconia, Springfield, Shirlington, Falls Church. Marymount is easily accessible to all of those and the rent prices are much lower than Arlington.

Marymount University 2018
I just got my acceptance in the mail yesterday. The letter was postmarked September 15th, if that's helpful. I already live in Alexandria near a metro stop and work in Arlington not too far from Marymount. If you guys are moving to the area, feel free to ask me any questions!
