CHOC RN Residency February 2018
Thank you so much! Unfortunately I had forgotten to ask how many people they were hiring for the unit as well. Hopefully someone else here might be able to chime in!

CHOC RN Residency February 2018
Did my interview yesterday for the Medical Unit, felt really good. Lots of good rapport and - surprisingly - a handful of mutual laughter. Hoping for the best.

Seattle Children's New Grad Residency Winter 2018
Hello, hello, I wanted to start up a new grad post for those of us applying to Seattle Children's residency program for winter 2018 (starting March 5, 2018). The three units I am applying for are the Acute Care Float Pool, Medical Unit, and the Cancer Care Unit. Best of luck to those of us who have submitted/who will be submitting their applications!

How accurate is the Pearson Vue Trick?
Hello hello, I completely understand your hesitancy regarding the PVT! I did all 265 questions on the NCLEX and thought I completely failed it, I Google'd the PVT, and was hesitant to try it at first but I ended up getting the "good pop up." I was cautiously optimistic at first, but low and behold 48 hours after my test I checked California's Board of Registered Nursing website and saw I passed the test. Every classmate of mine that I know who used the PVT also attested to its accuracy.

Share review study guide
Hello hello, I am sorry to hear you took your exam in May and ended up failing, I also took it in May and have recently passed! In regards to materials I used: I initially only used Kaplan and lightly used UWorld. The second time around I continued using Kaplan, did majority of my practice questions through UWorld, and a friend shared their Hurst account with me to listen to Hurst's audio reviews. Unfortunately these resources have to be paid for - or you can share/ask a friend to borrow their's - but they are well-worth the investment! I especially found Hurst's audio reviews to be extremely helpful to listen to as I passed the time driving, cleaning, etc. In terms of other resources the only other one I used was this cram sheet to reference before I took the test: http://www.brcn.edu/upload/docs/brcn/lrc/nurseslabs-cram-sheet.pdf NOTE: I printed it out and changed some of the lab values to match what my UWorld resources gave me

Pearson Vue Trick NCLEX-RN 2017
Congratulations! I also took all 265 questions and wracked my brain for hours after and decided to do the PVT. Ended up doing the PVT - California's Board of Registered Nursing is also notoriously slow - and got the good popup. I was cautiously optimistic at first, but low and behold 48 hours after I took my test my results were posted! Best of luck to you on the job hunt!

Uworld prep.
Hello hello, Best of luck to you! I recently passed my NCLEX and used UWorld too: your statistics look much better than mine before I tested! You have got this! Be sure to sleep as much as you can beforehand, eat a nice meal, bring some water and a few snacks with you in case you're there for a long while, and don't be afraid to take moment to sit back & breathe a little during the test.
