Grand Canyon University Spring 2018
Why can't you take them here? I don't necessarily think they will count you as a "transfer student", but I don't think they will transfer your credits over at all to be counted for nursing. I'm not positive though and in my experience SSAs don't all have the right answers so I would fact check that with multiple SSAs. Also, I would take as many as you can here! Even if it's just retaking Bs to get As. That's what I did. Plus I would really focus on retaking the HESI if you can. I've been told it counts for 45% of the application! And don't worry girl, I'm 21 and I just barely got in. Progress is progress í ½í¸Š

Gcu nursing program
I personally really like GCU. GCU's program is pretty competitive! The average GPA for the spring 2018 semester is 3.72. You guys have it right, they don't accept transfers anymore and no more tier system. They are prioritizing the students that have been invested in GCU's nursing program since the beginning. It's only fair.

BSN: Need Help Choosing What School to go to!!!
I don't personally know what SJSU's nursing program is like, but I did my prerequisites there and ended up transferring. I didn't really like the school environment and I didn't feel well supported by the faculty/staff or my peers. I know that it's different when you're in the program, but SJSU's overall environment was not my favorite and I ended up with some very low quality professors!

Mt. Sac nursing program spring 2018
Hey! I'm not exactly sure what Mt. Sac is like, but I go to GCU and I love it! I just got into the spring 2018 nursing program, but it's very competitive! I head the average GPA was 3.72 for my application date, which means basically all As and a B or so and some A- maybe. We take the HESI and I hear mid 90s is a good score. It's basically half of the application, so if your GPA isn't great, aim for a great HESI score. GCU isn't taking any transfers anymore, so you'd have to come in as a freshman. There isn't much room to mess up, but hey, thats what it's like at all universities! I personally love it here and there is a lot of help available everywhere. AND there are many application periods available (fall, spring, and summer, all with the option to do fast track (meaning you stay over summer to finish faster)) I transferred from SJSU and I personally didn't do well in that environment. Also, literally half of GCU's population is people from socal, so you'll feel right at home here! Let me know if you have any more questions.
