  1. Does anyone have an advice on whether to go with HURST vs KAPLAN for a live NCLEX review? For reference, I am in an accelerated ADN program- our program lasts only 10 months. I know HURST is more content and KAPLAN is more strategy- what else should I know?! Our class needs to choose one or the other so we can get a group discount so I'm hoping to get some opinion from people with experience! :) Thank you!
  2. No problem- it's frustrating not to be able to view a schedule when you are trying to figure this kind of stuff out! :)
  3. Lab days until 5 and lecture days until 4:30.
  4. You are busy 6-7 days/wk. Unless your job is very flexible shift work and very few hours/wk it'd probably be very difficult to work around.
  5. I know it's late but does anyone know if orientation is over at 12:30 tomorrow? It says that on the letter but it also says that we have a "30 minute lunch on your own"- so I'm a little confused if we are going to be done at 12:30 or if they just forgot to put the ending time.
  6. I'm not too anxious. I just know it's gonna suck and be really hard for 10 months... but just remember it's only 10 months! Many have gone before us and completed the program and we can do the same! We've just gotta get in there and get through it! :)
  7. I think it needs to be done by the 15th but I'm not certain.
  8. If anyone needs to get their BLS (CPR) class done, I'm an instructor and am holding a course this Saturday! Let me know if you are interested. I know we need to get it done soon!
  9. I completed all my prerequisites and my GPA wasn't the highest (I can't remember what it was). I have a feeling the new entry date helped me out since not everyone knew about it or may have been ready when they posted it. From the information meeting I went to in Sept it sounded like they put the applications in 2 stacks- all that have completed prerequisites then after those come the ones who still have prerequisites to go. She seemed to say that they always go to those who don't have all prerequisites completed. I'm not sure if that is right or not, but that is what I put together from what she said. (I deduced that from what she said- she didn't say that exactly so I could be completely off). My advisor also said they ALWAYS go to the waitlist. I'm hoping they tell us at orientation how many applied- they should have those statistics as well as highest and lowest GPAs of those who were accepted available if you call up there next semester- my advisor told me that info from the 2015 class. (I doubt they have all it tabulated up right now.)
  10. Congrats!! Have either of you started working on your check list? Do we need to turn in the last page of that PDF or is that just for us to keep track of the stuff we put on the online system?
  11. I didn't even notice that. That is frustrating! I was just thinking that they had to have known before Thanksgiving since they sent it out first thing this morning.
  12. Thanks for the heads up! I'm in too!
  13. They should notify by email.
  14. I hadn't even thought to do that. I wonder if they'd even know? Seems like the BADNAP program would be an easy one to sort out since it's solely based upon GPA...
  15. I think it was due October 6th and I turned mine in at the beginning of September.
