That's exactly why I did it... I didn't want to wait another year and reapply to Stony if I'm rejected... I'm dying to know though! I feel like if it's a no they should tell us sooner than later..

I would gladly forfit the 750.00 enrollment fee to secure my spot at Samford if SBU accepts me! I check my email about 1837382882 times a day waiting for something!

I submitted a deposit back in December for Sanford's program, but I plan on going to Stony Brook if I get accepted.

Yea I'm pretty sure they roll the admissions cause each group is told a different timeframe. I guess we will just have to update when we get news! Good luck everyone!

I feel like It went well. I'm just anxiously awaiting acceptance! Stony Brook is my first choice. I was accepted to Samford's FNP program, but I am waiting on the acceptance from SBU. Crossing fingers!!

Hi!! I just received my acceptance to Samford University's BSN-DNP FNP program. I'm excited and nervous and still waiting on a couple other schools to respond before making my final decision. I was hoping by coming here, I could get some feedback on the program and testimony to how great the school is (from what I've read so far). Also so wondering how difficult it is to obtain preceptors. I am in NY. I checked with the NY department of education, and Samford is indeed registered with NYS as a suitable program to complete clinical in my home state. Wondering if any other NYers or out of staters have experience positive results with this university and finding preceptors yourself. Any info would be welcomed, and so excited to be on this journey! Would love to meet anyone else who is starting this program. :) thanks!

Hi! I commented on the other thread we were both in, but thought I would comment here too. I submitted my application 11/5 for an email 11/9 about interviews, and had my interview on 11/28. I live in East Syracuse so it's a hike for me, but it is totally worth it to me, Stony Brook is my first choice. Anyone else?

The interview was very casual! Mainly asked why I wanted to be an NP, why Stony Brook etc. :) When is your interview?
