  1. She landed on her feet - very much alive - despite her pH and lyte levels. Definitely one heck of a shift. Thanks for the info r/t how your unit trends in terms of nurse/patient ratios.
  2. To my PICU nurses out there: What are your nurse to patient ratios for a new-admit, new-onset DKA? Ex: blood glucose >1000, pH <6.5, bicarb undetectable; altered mental status —> potassium <1.5; Mg <1.0 despite 2-bag system and repletions. Would you have other patients with this patient and, if so, how many?
  3. Hi there! Thank you so much for sticking around to answer "newbie" questions (I'm hoping you may still be checking your account / willing to answer)... I just got into the JHU MEN program and have been trying to temper my excitement until I figure out the actual cost of the full program (my research has led me to a mix of answers). Any chance you might be able to give me a ballpark of the full cost of tuition, etc.?
  4. I received an email on Friday (9/1). I submitted my application pretty early in the cycle, though, and there has been talk of some sort of "rolling release" of decisions on the JH allnurses thread. Either way, good luck! Do you happen to know the total cost of the JH program? (I'm getting two different numbers...)
  5. I'm in as well! Can anyone tell me the tuition for the full and complete program? (I am a little cautious to get my hopes up after I understood one amount to be true of another program to which I was accepted, and it turned out to be substantially more than that)...
  6. @Anaprada - I also applied and haven't heard any word regarding submission. I called last week to inquire when they might be reaching out and I was told, "next year". That doesn't seem quite correct (I just got my acceptance from Johns Hopkins today, and their application wasn't due until August 15), so I would suggest perhaps calling again? Best of luck, all!
