Hi everyone! I just recieved my acceptance letter for VIU in the mail yesterday. Anyone else looking to attend VIU or also already recieved their acceptance letter?! Moreover, is anyone already attending VIU now or familiar with the area and/or the program I'm from the mainland and am curious!

For Langara, you cannot take both the BIOL classes or the ENGL classes at the same time as BIOL 1190 is a pre-req for 1191 and ENGL 1127 is a pre-req for 1129... The BIOL courses have quite an intensive courseload... everything else is relative. I personally felt comfortable taking PSYCH, STAT and ENGL together in the same semester.

I intend to apply for the September 2018 intake. Just wondering what kind of volunteer experience you guys have acquired? I recently applied at a senior care facility, but I'm not sure if that would be relevant enough. Tasks seem to include spending time with the residents etc.
