Hi fauzwin! I'm also an Addenbrooke's candidate. But I'm under CPL Healthcare- Chesham Recruitment. You really don't have to worry about your COS. I received mine the next day I got my IOM certificate. In addition to that, I got my visa a week therefafter. It really seems like Addenbrooke's is really efficient and enthusiastic when it comes to nurses' recruitment.

Do you have your COS on hand now? If so, that would be quite hard for you to back out or apply to a different Trust because first of all, COS costs 3000 pounds, secondly once COS is already granted, the applicant will not be allowed to work in a different post nor Trust. However, if you do not have COS yet, maybe you could discuss your plans with your agency as early as possible.

I guess your 9th week is on 22 December if I am not mistaken. Don't worry it is just the same thing with me, there were two people who got their results a week before me. But see, I got my certificate on hand now. You can try to contact them with this number +63 917 503 3120. There are times that it is quite hard to reach them but they'll message you once the result is available.

After nine long weeks I got the result. No growth. Therefore, I got my IOM certificate.

I am more than willing to help :). I just want to share with you, they asked me to upload my qualification certificate, exchanged a series of emails with the assessor and the nmc uk enquiry, after 4 calendar days I received my decision letter. Trust me, if they're only asking you to upload documents it wouldn't take another 40-70 days.

If it was the assessor who personally sent you the notification that you sent the wrong document, you could simply reply to that e-mail and explain your problem in terms of uploading your diploma. And also, send an email to the Uk enquiries about it, they will even ask you to send it via e-mail and they will upload it for you. If you're having issues about them not responding to your e-mails immediately you could just call them directly. Use the app UTalk to call them for free.

I remember the email sent to me by my assessor, there were FAQs attached in the end of the email, and I think one of those answers your concern. It says: Q. I have uploaded the requested document to my portal, however, I can only see the original document uploaded. I am not able to see the new upload on my portal. Please can you check? A. When re-uploading documents you will only see the first document historically uploaded. Please change the file name as this will help you to identify the successful upload of the new document. You may not necessarily be able to view the new upload, however, we will be able to see this on your file once your application has been re-submitted so please do not worry if you are unable to view the new file.

Hello! I just got my IOM tb clearance earlier this afternoon. Thereafter I asked my local agent when and where should I do my medical examination. But wccording to her, there is no need to undergo the said exam and my hospital (CUH) is not requiring their candidates to do so. This is very unual for me since all of the UK candidates that I know underwent medical examination. Do you guys think it depends on the employer and agency or it would be impossible not to undergo the said exam prior to deployment?

Lucky you, I heard that they are well taken care of there with full assistance from the hospital, they even provided free toiletries, groceries and other starter packs. And most importantly, they got their first paycheck after a month from the start of their nursing job, which was unexpected according go them because they were advised to bring some extra penny since their first salary might be delayed but if was otherwise. Just submit your detailed resume especially the emoloyment history including the employment gaps and you will be good.

Adiksaadobo Really? I guess the ones that were given that waiver are those with other pulmonary cases but definitely not with PTB. They're really strict with regards to public health. However if that's the case that would be good for you. As for my COS, my trust will either provide me a new one (which costs 3000 pounds) or perhaps have some amendment to the concerned authority to somehow renew it and change deployment dates indicated. Ps. Could you please send me your name in facebook so that we could keep posted just in case you will be able to find out what happened to the person who was able to go to the UK during his/her treatment?

adikaaadobo Well we got the same case. I already have my COS on hand when I had my tb testing in the IOM but unfortunately, they said that I needed to do the sputum exam. I know someone who had positive sputum culture so even when they said that it will take 9 weeks before the result, they already called her after 4 weeks. I think that is actually the case, they'll immediately call you once there is a growth noted in the culture. On the other hand, I am on my 7th week now and they haven't called me yet so hopefully there will be no growth on my culture until the 9th week. In relation to your query, unfortunately TB clearance from the IOM is one of the requirements for your visa, therefore it is impossible to go the UK without the said document. Just in case that your sputum exam will be positive ( knock on wood hopefully not) they will call you perhaps after a couple of weeks thus treatment and pulmonologist consultation will be advised. There will be two choices, first, they will monitor you every 2 months (xray and sputum exam which costs 8200 every monitoring) or you will consult your own pulmonologist, undergo the treatment for 6 months then you will go back to the iom for another sputum exam (basically it will take 8 long weeks). I hope these information helps. Don't be too stressed. I've been in that situation and it is totally stressful (especially the specimen collection part) but then everything will be fine and we'll go to the UK!

It is a must for you to send the reference forms with a COE if your're currently employed because if not, the NMC would still ask you to do so.
