  1. Yes, summer off!!!!
  2. T_petes, happy you made it on the waitlist:) how far down are you? My fingers are crossed! Hope you make it in!
  3. I had the same question and emailed an advisor. You obtain an OFFICIAL transcript. They want that format. Scan document and upload it to your application. Go to profile and then Academic History. You can upload it here. Again, this is what I was instructed to do, but haven't done it yet. Good luck!
  4. I believe it is 32 or right around there:) this upcoming Fall they will accept students for both the full-time and part-time program. Will you be applying for Spring? :)
  5. What classes are you using for your educational bonuses? I used small group communication and medical vocab. I think as long as you can find a way to relate it to your success in nursing, you are A-okay!
  6. I hear yA! We are right there with points...I am at 105.9! I could NOT believe how high it was last quarter...it is scary! Again, I will be so curious to see how this quarter turns out...there is just no way of knowing! At least I got all of the waiting anxiety out of my system for the next round...I can't handle that stress again! LOL However, applying for Fall this year wouldn't be too bad considering they will be accepting more students (for both the part-time and full-time program.) I wonder how the point system will work with the new test taking place of the Accuplacer? Maybe it will be similar in that you just need to place into "College Level." hmmmm Is this your first quarter applying @dambler? Are you applying anywhere else?
  7. @RDHusky Thanks for all of your insight and advice! This will also be my first time applying to the UW and had not even considered UW as an option as I assumed my grades would not be good enough. After talking with a past/current students in the program I realized that I may actually be a competetive applicant and have decided to apply! I am currently working on all the writing pieces and have a ton on paper, but am afraid to committ to just one idea, as I am not sure exactly what the reviewing committee is looking for. For the resume, how would you suggest formatting it? I wish there were samples to view! For the essay, I am considering using strong communication or mindfulness as my strength and something along the lines of being hypercritical of myself as a weakness...or possibly having a difficult time separating work from home life. I want to identify a weakness which is something that I can grow from, not something that I am unable to change. Does that make sense? I would love any feedback! I found that I was overthinking the essay question, but through journaling, talking with coworkers, and self-analysis, I believe my responses are genuine. Ok, that's enough for now! I am sure I will have a million more questions. Thank YOU!!!
  8. Haven't heard back from Anyone in regards to reviewing my application from Winter. What is the best way to go about reviewing my application to see where my points were awarded and to make sure I have everything I need this next quarter? I have my additional employment verification form which will award me 3 more points, as well as an updated BLS card. Thanks!
  9. Ok, good! Well, let's hope this is our quarter to get accepted!!! Hoping I did everything right this time around:) if we are accepted into the Spring cohort does this mean we have the summer off?
  10. Yes, same experience. Unable to check that box, along with the quarter I am applying to (6 or 10 quarter) I submitted and will change it on my printout:)
  11. Hi everyone! New board is posted for Spring 2018 if anyone else wants to join in!
  12. That's awesome!! Yes, Shoreline is my front runner right now. I am also applying to UW as their requirements really look at the Well-rounded student. We will see! I actually am excited about being able to write an essay to explain my love and excitement for nursing:) After applying to Shoreline and UW I will probably also consider a few other programs. Where are you taking prerequisites?
  13. Hi there! Yes, it does seem like the points are climbing each quarter. I would say you are definitely competitive! Would you be willing to share a quick breakdown of where your points came from? For me, I have mostly A's (A&P 1&2, Chem, Eng,) but the 3.2 in Micro brought my points down and then a 3.5 in Psych and 3.3 for stats. Those were my lower grade classes. I really wish I would have retaken Micro this last quarter! I also have all my bonus points, as well as all points possible for volunteering, and now I will be applying this quarter with CNA experience. I was just tying to evaluate where there might be an opportunity to gain more points, but my only option would be to re-take a class. Looking at this last cohort, if I had 105.9 (which I do now) I would have been accepted, but it would have been close!!! The cutoff was 105.65 I believe. Are you applying anywhere else?
  14. Hi Everyone! I am back for round two of applying:) I still have yet to review my application for Winter quarter and am hoping to do that before the Holiday. I was awarded 102.9 points this last go-around, but can confidently say that I will have 105.9 for Spring. I sure hope that is competetive! Where is everyone else? It looks like this is that last cohort that will not be required to take the nursing placement test. AHHHHHH! I look forward to hearing where everyone is! GOOD LUCK!
