Yes definitely ask your advisor bc I’m thinking you need an in person lab but I wouldn’t know with covid and no in person classes atm !

replying to this post ... if anyone needs it ! straighterline definitely saves you $$$$ literally. I took 3 courses on straighterline and even had a new user free class at the time and it saved me a whole term at WCU, saving around $8k ... definitely recommend especially since its at your own pace :) quicker than taking it semester style at a CC.

Hello, I am applying to med-surg this March for the september cohort. I could really feel the great energy with all of these threads, and im sad to hear that they reject so many applicants. Can I just ask did you feel that your interview went well? I know it doesnt hurt to apply, but im scared ill just get overlooked automatically bc i have a 3.3 GPA

Hey, have you heard anything back or have you taken the course??? I am currently in West coast and will not take stats till summer however, again you could save a lot of money. And all i need is stats.

Spring of 2017 was probably one of the hardest semesters I have ever encountered. It was my second semester in nursing school, I had a part-time job, and I was struggling with my own mental health. By the end of the semester I failed med- surg with a 73 in test scores when we need a 75 to pass. Thankfully, my cohort failed pathophysiology and set back many students that they were able to take med surg in the summer and so I did too. However, after I learning that I passed the theory class the second time, I received an email stating that I am being dismissed for a fail in the clinical portion of the class making it a double fail in the program. This disqualifies me to even re apply to the BSN program at that school. Thankfully, I go to a small private school that also has a ADN program so I was supposed to transfer into that program for spring 2018 however, there was a mix up on how I was supposed to apply to the program. I applied as a transfer due to wrong advisement at the time and now I am on the waitlist for it. Failing med surg twice tanked my gpa. It is a 7.5 unit course and getting a C- in it the first time and getting a C (but passed) in it the second brought it down to a 3.1. I am really mad at myself for believing that I did not need a back up plan. I felt that I was given so much false hope of appealing the no credit in clinical that I thought applying to the ADN was my backup. I feel like I failed not only myself but my parents too. I have an apartment that isnt cheap in Los angeles and go to a private school. I guess what im trying to get across here is advice from anyone who has failed out of nursing school and went back. Where did you go? How long did it take for you to get back into a program. With my low gpa would you suggest for me to still try for BSN programs? I feel that the BSN obviously was not my path. However, most ADN programs in california are impacted. There are some schools that I have looked into that have a continuous application however I am scared that I will go to a school with the wrong accreditations. Also these schools usually come at a very large price. For example: west coast university they are asking for 130k, but it is continuous application. But then there is the fact that ive been in private school for 4 years and already in a great amount of debt. Would it even be worth going into such large debt?
