  1. Accepted to AO for DFW! 7.988 and partnered!
  2. My degree plan has comments like “student enrolled in DCC course per app” and things like that! It doesn’t say I’m partnered anywhere on mymav though.
  3. Does anyone know approximately when notifications go out for acceptances? I just looked at my account today and it looks like they got to my application because all of my grades are in and the two courses I'm in now are updated!
  4. I’m applying for AO!
  5. Interesting! I had no idea it was that helpful to be employed at a partner hospital!! I'm grateful to hear that! I just got my blue card in the mail today from my appointment two weeks ago.
  6. Interesting, every time I've been able to get through whoever answers is in such a bad mood I feel bad asking any questions. Does anyone have any idea how much of a benefit being partnered actually gets you?
  7. Fingers crossed! I think it's promising that there's so few people posting here? Maybe that's a sign it's a slow semester? Or maybe that's just my wishful thinking!
  8. Applied to UTA for fall '21! Science GPA: 3.750 Overall GPA: 3.738 I work at Parkland so I'm partnered. I also have previous bachelor's degree. Fingers crossed!
  9. Applied for Fall '18 admission evenings after being denied from Suffolk since I'm a Nassau resident. TEAS: Reading: 89.4% Math: 93.8% English: 75.0% Prereqs: A&P 1: A ENG 101: A ENG 102: A- Stats: B General psych: A Lifespan psych: A Sociology: A History: A I'm just looking into Nassau since I was pretty confident I was going to go to Suffolk until I was denied... can anyone point me in the direction of Nassau's rubric so I can calculate my score? Thanks!
  10. The nursing dept takes them in March. I applied directly through NCC's website!
  11. Yep! Fall '18 just opened and I already applied and got my student application tracking ID!
  12. Would you say the information session is worth it? I can't find my original score email but I had the numbers copy and pasted from when I was on the Suffolk CC forum!
  13. Do you know cut offs for TEAS points? Like what scores would get me proficient vs. advanced?
  14. I work full time during the day and can only take evening classes. The spring admissions cycle does not allow for evenings.
  15. As was I! I was unaware they accept all Suffolk residents first before even considering Nassau residents. I'm in Long Beach so hopefully Nassau accepts me based on my residency. I was pretty bummed since I work in Suffolk and it would've been convenient.

  17. Also, just to be cheeky... I framed my denial letter from Suffolk Community College and hung it between my two Master's degree diplomas in my office
  18. I just applied for fall at NCC actually! I'm moving to Suffolk soon though so hopefully I'll either get accepted at Nassau before that happens or I just wait and reapply at Suffolk once I'm a resident.
  19. Yep, that's it exactly. I wish they would've been more transparent about residency so I wouldn't have had to waste my time applying.
  20. I went to an info session and that was never once mentioned. This whole thing is even more frustrating considering I'm moving to Suffolk in less than two months! Looks like I'm applying for the fall...
  21. That's really frustrating. I had no idea residency mattered ☹️
  22. That's what I thought the denial said that I can only appeal in writing and not over the phone. This sucks
  23. Got denied for direct RN with a TEAS of 82 and As in almost every pre-req.... they must look at some other components of the rubric that they don't tell us about because based on others getting accepted, I should've as well
  24. That's a good point... I'm in Long Beach so I'm definitely not close! Hopefully tomorrow!
  25. Nothing for me ☹️ If I calculated correctly, I had a higher rubric score than some people getting accepted so I still have hope!
