  1. California State University Bakersfield has a three year traditional BSN program.
  2. FROM BC WEBSITE AND BROCHURE: "All conditionally enrolled students and alternates will be required to take ATI TEAS, a state approved nursing assessment test. Students need to study and test using the ATI TEAS, 6th edition, as earlier editions are no longer accepted. Students must rank at or above 62% on their first attempt on the ATI TEAS exam to be eligible for admission into the program. Students not meeting this criteria will be offered a remediation program." "Conditional enrollment is the reservation of a seat prior to the ATI TEAS Assessment. Once the top ranked students have completed the assessment, a re-ranking will occur, in which the top qualified students will move from conditional enrollment to "officially accepted" in the ADN program." Perhaps after re-ranking, alternates can move up to officially accepted if one scores high enough on the TEAS to get ahead of others in points. The other case could be what I just mentioned, plus alternates moving up when those who were accepted choose not to go. This is just my best guess.
  3. Absolutely and thank you jrooney17! I wish you the best for CSUB!!
  4. Thank you so much gramirez18!
  5. Hi jrooney17, I am applying to CSUB and it will be my second time after applying back in 2016. Also, I have applied to BC one other time and it was last application period for spring 2018. As far as which school I will be attending, that I am not so sure of. I wont find out from CSUB till late-May to August. Although, I see BC at an advantage because it is more affordable and is a year shorter than CSUB.
  6. For those who haven't taken the TEAS 6 the test date mentioned on the email was May 14th.
  7. I just had the chance to check my email and I have been conditionally accepted.
  8. Hi jrooney17, I received this status email yesterday. I would suggest for them to check their junk mail. Most of my CSUB BSN notifications seem to be arriving there.
  9. Prerequisite GPA: 3.20 Science and Math Prerequisite GPA: 3.45 ATI TEAS Score: 84.7% Primary Criteria Points: 55 pts. Optional Criteria Points: 3 pts.
  10. This is BC's first time implementing a point system. So, there is no way of really telling what the cut off points are.
  11. I just called and they told me that if we don't receive an email by the 12th to give them a call.
  12. Thank you for checking in and keeping us updated.
  13. Definitely not the only one
  14. Nothing today, hopefully some good news for all of us tomorrow
  15. Okay, here we go.... these are my points. Hopefully everyone shares to give one another an idea. 50.4/70 without the TEAS 6 73.1/100 with the TEAS 6
  16. I haven't heard anything
  17. Nothing yet. I believe last application period we heard back around the last week of September and first week of October. This was about 2.5 months from the closing period. Perhaps we will hear back around the last week of March going into April.
  18. Hi athomason95, This will be my second time applying as well. I really hope we all get in this time around!
  19. Awesome! I applied to CSUB about a year ago. I also did not get in. Maybe this time around we will all have luck getting in. No letter yet!
  20. Hello everyone! The application brochure has been updated for BC Nursing. There is a new multi-criteria point selection process that has been implemented for the next application period. https://www.bakersfieldcollege.edu/sites/bakersfieldcollege.edu/files/ADN%20Brochure%20September%2020%202017%20with%20MCS-WEBdocx.pdf Also, did anyone hear from anyone else?
  21. Hello athomason95, I haven't received a letter yet hopefully soon
  22. Hi belanova21, have you heard anything from the department with regards to notification letters?
  23. The math and science portions were pretty easy. I thought I did well in the English and language usage section but I got a 75. I thought the reading section was tricky. While studying for the reading section I struggled to get the correct answers for logical conclusions. I got a 75 for that portions as well . My overall teas score was an 84.7. For math and science I just took as many practice test as I could to find my weak points. I found mometrix to be helpful for these two sections.
  24. Thank you! And good luck to you too! This is my first semester applying. I took the teas 6 about a month ago.
