  1. What prep book do you recommend for a new OR nurse looking to study for the CNOR exam? Thank you!
  2. I just found out my alternate position was changed to SELECTED!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEKKKSS i will see you in August!!!!!! So excited :)
  3. Thank you for your reply! And yes I am a working nurse, I am applied as fully qualified. I thought it would be a small chance that anyone would turn it down if given the opportunity, my fingers are crossed though!!! :) worst case scenerio I will reapply in July.
  4. Hello All!! :) I have recently found out I am Alternate number 1 for the April 2018 Clinical nurse to OR transition board. My recruiter told me that there are 65 people who have been selected across the board for clinical nurse and OR and that if any one of them do not confirm their commission, then I will be picked up. In your experience what are the chances of at least one not confirming, and how long would you say until everyone's decisions have been made? The chances of getting selected were so slim and this process has been so long, I am grateful to have been chosen as an alternate, but also so disappointed, I wanted to hear selected so badly. Thank you for any input!
  5. Still have heard nothing, how about you? I am very close to going nuts at this point í ½í¸‚
  6. HEEEEEEEEYYY :) Have you heard anything yet? I have been trying SUPER hard not to bug my recruiter to death, asking each day for updates, but it. is. a. STRUGGLE! Have not heard a peep on this end. One of my contacts said as far as the enlisted applicants go they know the decisions have been made, but results have not been given out yet. Time just keeps ticking on by, lol. I hope you are doing great and let's both keep our fingers crossed!
  7. Hey!! :) So I did confirm with my recruiter only ONE spot open for FQ OR, so disappointed in this, wish I would have known sooner, to not get my hopes up. I also had a phone interview with the nurse consultant, he was great, very easy to talk to. I hadn't heard any exact date, just that results should go out beginning of or middle of May. AND YES THE WAITING IS KILLING ME!!!! The Nurse consultant was very positive during the interview, all of the information he gave sounded fantastic and made me want this SO BAD!!! He did say there have been times where they took more than the originally planned amount of applicants, so FINGERS CROSSED :)
  8. OMG no! my recruiter definitely said nothing about there being only one slot open, that is terribly depressing. I have had all my stuff completed since February just ticking the days away trying to to stress about it. CN interview went great, not nearly as scary as I expected it to be. I will be contacting my recruiter tomorrow morning to harass him about this lol. Good luck to you!!! My contact tells me the board is set to be meeting for the MECP selection the second week of April, so assuming they do FQ near that time, hopefully we will hear in the beginning of May versus the middle or end.
  9. I have applied also! For a FQ clinical transition to OR slot, this is my first application cycle and the endless waiting with no ability to control the outcome is driving me nuts! what are you applying for and what makes you say there are only a few spots open? Glad to hear I am not the only one out there wishing the days of April away! :)
  10. Congratulations!!!!! I will be applying for my first time this spring and have been anxiously following all of you on this thread, I can't imagine how excited you are!!! What an accomplishment! Way to go!!!!!
  11. Hello All, I have made initial email contact with a healthcare recruiter for the Air Force voicing my interest in joining and requesting information. He did reply (!!!!!) and send an initial email with some requirements and benefits to commission, also requested I email my license, resume, CV...etc. Which I have done. What should I expect from here? How long did it take for you to get contacted after the initial request for information? I am dying of excitement, fear, and enthusiasm, but I do not want to appear over eager or pushy by reaching out to soon. any information is greatly appreciated!
