  1. Have any of you ever heard of, owned or tried the allbird wool runners? I'm thinking of giving them a try.
  2. Go for it. While i was in school i dreaded med-surg. I did my preceptor in ER. Only 3 people from my class got selected for that department. I dont know if I got selected because they believe it matched my personality but I'm glad they did. The ER was very different from med-surg and tele (which was what my school focused on) and I knew that that is where I wanted to be. I applied to only ER positions as a new grad against the advice of many nurses. You have to go for what you want to do. After about 30 applications to different ERs I finally got a position. I would not want to start anywhere else. My goal is ER for a couple years and move on to critical care. Then in the future, do transports.
  3. I'll look into these. I was considering something similar but i want some that fit kind of tight like under armor.
  4. Thanks. I went to tijuana and bought like 5 pairs of sleeves for like $10.
  5. So i recently got hired into a hospital and they want me to cover my upper arm tattoos. I used to use white sock like sleeves to cover them in nursing school. My question is, does anyone have a specific product they recommend to cover upper arm tattoos? My tattoos stop at my elbow but they can be see in scrub tops. I dont want full sleeves that go down to my wrist.
  6. I've heard stories of patients assaulting a nurse and if another nurse stepped in to defend (such as push the patient off or physically hold the patient down) they get sued and the nurse loses their license. I think its BS considering how some of these patients can really hurt even kill a staff member. What are we supposed to do, just watch and yell for security?
