  1. @Sherine Samuels Wow! I'm so glad I asked! This is exactly what I was fearing. Some people are OK with that type of learning platform and get through it fine but like I said I had an awful experience with WGU sounds like a very similar program structure. I do not do well in those kinds of do it all yourself type of programs. I have also looked into Frontier, I applied this week. The other school I was considering was Sacred Heart University. They have a great scholarship they are offering right now for NPs that want to focus on working in underserved communities or Rural communities. You do 2 campus visits there as well just like Frontier. I wouldn't even be considering them if it wasn't for the scholarship, since it is $995/credit which is more than I was willing to go. That's why UWF was so appealing to me but it doesn't seem to be a good fit for me. Thank you for your quick response! DM me if you want to let me know where you decide to go, I still would love to have a motivational partner or someone to at least bounce things off of throughout this journey!
  2. I am considering applying for fall 2024 for the FNP program. Could you share your reasons for choosing this school? I am in between FNU, Sacred Heart University and a local university - University of West Florida all online programs. I am wondering if anyone has more specific feedback regarding the program structure at FNU? Online lectures, modules, assignments, exams? Do you feel like you're teaching yourself everything ? How is the faculty support? Do they assist at all with clinical placement locally? I am in Central Florida.
  3. Heyyy....I am thinking of applying to Fall 2024 FNP program. This is such a difficult decision especially since they wait until mid-July to let you know if you got accepted or not so I feel like I have to apply to other schools as well. Any feedback regarding the reasons why you decided to apply? I have heard mixed reviews about the program with having issues finding clinical sites and teaching yourself most of the material which I understand is mainly like all other online programs but I am wondering if the instructors give support and care about your success. I had an awful experience at WGU for my bachelor's. Any information anyone can provide me would be greatly appreciated!! I am a FT Nurse Case Manager for a managed care insurance plan working from home with 3 sons, (18, 12, 2) also a single mom. I really want to move forward with this but I am so afraid of failing. Thanks in advance!
  4. Heyyy @Lynnbsn I just spoke to an enrollment advisor today for the FNP program and it sounds like a great option. Could you tell me what the class structure was like? Also did you work full time while doing the program? I work FT as a nurse case manager at home and I'm terrified I won't be able to swing it. Just trying to get some feedback on the actual work load given. Thanks!!
  5. Hello...just looking at this old post as I'm considering SAU. Did you ever actually attend? If so how do you like it so far?
