NO experience new graduate BSN student applying for MSN-FNP graduate school?
I am torn on what I should do with my application to graduate school. I have no bedside experience in the nursing workforce, but I don't believe that it would change my abilities to be a competent, compassionate NP. Please help assure me that bedside nursing experience is NOT a necessity in becoming an amazing NP!!!! Thank you in advance.

MSN in nursing for people with different bachelors good deal?
Hello Pekt, EMT-B, Now that you mention it, I have a few questions for you. I am a new BSN graduate nurse that is continuing on with my education for my NP certificate. Many people have been discouraging me to immediately continue on and suggests that I get some bedside experience. What positives can you give me about not going that route and immediately applying for grad school? I am torn on which route to go thinking I may not make a very competent NP without the experience everyone is talking about... Please give me insight as to whether my decision is appropriate so that I am not the only one trying to fulfill this insatiable desire to move forward as a NP immediately after finishing my BSN.. Thank you so much in advance for your advice.

New Grad Leaving Nursing!
It might be a little off topic everyone, but there is a clinica study going on with the NSNA pertaining to this issue. If you have time, try stopping by and taking a look at what you can contribute to the future of nursing. I also am a new grad. and am currently looking for work here in Las Vegas. There seems to be an abundance of openings. The reason why I switched careers and chose nursing over pharmacy (with 2 credits before starting a program) was because of the vast variety of specialities/departments you can choose from... Please stay positive, you have gone through the hardest part which was nursing school. Maybe look up the studies on burnout and see what things you can do to help. Have you gone to resources that they might have at where you work to see what you can do? Hope all goes well.
