DO NOT GO TO OLIVET! I cannot stress how bad they are. They are arrogant, unhelpful, mean, unorganized, and poor teachers. They have no concern or commitment to assist their students to graduate on time or graduate at all. They are so busy trying to get their own doctorates that they do not care nor want to be bothered by the students. Believe those bad reviews.

I just finished the ABSN program. DO NOT GO TO ONU. Only about 7% of my beginning cohort finished on time. Many of the students have failed and been kicked out of the program. There were high admission requirements. The students were not stupid. ONU has bad NCLEX pass rates so instead of improving the teaching program they just kick out 3/4 the students. Many students are kicked out in the last one or two semesters, then nothing will transfer. The faculty seem to hate the students. They lose paperwork and then make the student suffer for it. They are very unorganized. They will send students to clinicals 1.5 hours drive at 5:00am and then the student has to go home because the school did not turn in the paperwork. They change program requirements and policies every semester so you do not know what you are signing on for because it will change. They have ruined many lives and put many students in big debt with no degree and no jobs. Do not be pursuaded by nice talk and a smooth admission process. The ONU nursing program quickly becomes very hateful toward students.

Go somewhere else! Your problems are the tip of the iceberg. I am a graduate and my friends (who were not kicked out) are still struggling. I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions but was still terribly stressed about actually learning content, versus writing papers all the time. I also have 4 degrees including several graduate degrees. I had friends who were foreign physicians. We all barely passed Olivet (many have not yet passed).

Forgot to mention, only 5 people in Adult Health 3 were passing before finals last semester out of about 18. This semester only 3 - 4 are passing out of the same amount. Again, if they do not fail you before they will get you the last semester, after you spend the $45,000. About half the class had prior masters degrees in my cohort. They do not admit just anyone, but still fail smart experienced students with their hateful rules. If a test answer is marked wrong but is really right, they will not change the score. If they make a mistake, the student still suffers for it. JUST SAY NO TO OLIVET!!

Olivet is awful. They require you to write about 30 pages of researched and cited pages a week and then take several tests a week. You spend 70% of your time writing and can not study the 500 or so pages per week. They had a 81% NCLEX pass rate in 2016. My class started with 30 something students and only 7 graduated in 16 months, as promised. Eric, who comented below was in my class and would have been a great nurse. I had clinicals with him. I believe, they kicked out all the minorities. Many students were kicked out of the program the semester before graduation so they wasted $45,000 or so and got nothing but loans. We suspect they are on probation with accreditation and so are just kicking everyone out of school. Other universities might try to figure out how to have a better learning environment. They send you to clinicals at a hospital an hour away only to be sent home because the school did not complete their paperwork. So unorganized!! The department chair and many of the professors are terribly hateful to students. RUN, dont waste your money, your life, your energy, and your dreams.
