Samuel Merritt ABSN Difficulty
Have you inquired with admissions about potentially transferring to the San Mateo campus for June ABSN cohort? It will cut your commute time. I know that transferring is possible, but not sure how possible and it wouldn't hurt to at least try. Goodluck!

Pharmacology I & II - StraighterLine
Hi there! I am reaching out to see if anyone has experience with StraighterLine courses and with their Pharm I & II courses? I am planning to take these to fulfill a pre-req. I'm wondering how test-taking went for you since it is an online course! Thank you!

HESI A2-OCTOBER 2017
There was a locational question on an endocrine gland. Bone formation. Serotonin does what. Where does digestion begin. Planes of the body. Anatomical positioning. What was mentioned already in this post were mostly on my A&P section. I missed: Hyoid bone, popliteal artery, and skin color (beyond melanin). Needless to say, I did not study articulations or arterial names well at all. In hindsight, I would have gone back to review the arterial names/placements, muscle names, and skin color even more deeply. A & P 1. A & P - 96% - I studied the most for this. Math - 100% - fractions, proportions, simple algebra, some metric conversions, military time - no roman numerals. Grammer - 90% Mostly weeding out incorrect word usage, some grammatical identification, lie/lay, either/or, among vs. between. Reading - 92% Implications, drawing conclusions, understanding, meaning word-use. Vocab - 98% Mostly were n the HESI book with a few scattered others. Overall: 95.2% Study material: HESI A2 review book Cliff Notes A & P Pocket Prep App! Endocrine System
I second this method! The process and visuals of drawing out a chart or map is SUPER helpful for me. Hypothalamus regulates the Pituitary Gland (Anterior & Posterior) ... Anterior = master gland Posterior = oxytocin + Anti-diuretic hormone ...etc.! It may be helpful to watch some Crash Course A & P videos on youtube or reading a summarized version of the endocrine to get a better feel for the big picture.

There it is. Good luck to us! All the hard work will pay off :)

Microbio, Pathophysio + Pharmacology classes together?
Thank you for all your input! I can hold off on Pharmacology, but that would likely defer my application submission... but the extra time may work out so that I am a more well-rounded applicant as I can volunteer/gain CNA experience during that time.

Microbio, Pathophysio + Pharmacology classes together?
Hey all, I am signed up for Microbiology, Pathophysiology and considering adding a Pharmacology course online for this coming Fall. I'm wrapping up my pre-reqs. Do you think that this will be too much on my plate?? Should I hold off on Pharmacology? Thoughts appreciated! Thank you!
