I work at Grossmont. There is no DOU unit. Unless they meant observation unit? and yes Chula Vista has the highest and are starting to overflow to other sharp systems.

How is that fair when there have been new grads ready for a while :(

Hello, I am currently a new grad looking for a position in the outpatient area. I wanted to ask what options there are and if you have had any experience working outpatient. • where did you start off as a new grad in outpatient? • did you enjoy it? • how was the pay? (Currently new grads in hospitals make ~43.00 base pay) So far I have applied to dialysis, ambulatory surgery, and aesthetics and so far no luck. Thanks for your input! ?

Has anyone gotten any update on Grossmont Hospital regarding application status or COVID-19 affecting the time on the applications?

Off topic but, how do you like being in the Aesthetic field? I was thinking of doing this while I wait for a position in the hospital too.

Hi all!! My application status has remained the same in “submission received” and the day hasn’t changed since I submitted it. I am external and this is my first time applying to Scripps. I have friends who are internal and they also received the email saying they will move their application to the hiring managers for consideration of interview. good luck to everyone ?

Thank you. I had my Interview Dec 5 and was told that I should hear back after all internal applicants from all the new grad Departments finished. So if you interviewed for Grossmont I believe you should be hearing back very soon ? I don’t know if they only interviewed internal for the first round or if they are about to interview external now.

Not all CV units have closed. My friend has an interview this week for CV on a med-surg floor!

I hope not! I feel like I’ll blank out because it’s ICU lol do you know how your friend has been doing? Going straight from nursing student to ICU is a big learning curve ( I would imagine).
