  1. I am a recent graduate of Concordia's ABSN program. I graduated in August and passed NCLEX first time in 75 questions. I applied to many schools and pretty much chose Concordia because of location (lived at home and saved money, nursing school is quite expensive). It had great factors at the time when I was choosing however they are becoming much larger and I'm not sure how well they are handling the size. The teachers are wonderful and the schooling got me to pass NCLEX however structure wise, there could be improvement. Concordia did prepare me for the "book" side of nursing but I really had to prepare myself for my job. They do a great job of giving you textbook information but the real world is not a textbook. Curriculum wise, it is the exact same curriculum all around California. Once you get out of state is where it varies but throughout California you will have all of the same classes. Hope this helps!
  2. I've been trying to find reviews about this program as I am applying to it soon! What does a typical week for you look like?? I am curious if it is similar to a regular nurse or a 5 day a week kind of thing.
  3. Don't give up! Don't look at this as a failure or a weakness, look at it as a challenge to grow. I personally believe as much as stats are important, it's more important to be a well rounded person. I sure didn't have the highest GPAs out of everyone who applied but it was my extracurriculars, unique qualities and communication skills during the interview. As this was my first ever interview, I learned you just need to go in and be yourself. Don't try to be someone you aren't. There isn't a checklist they're marking off as you talk to them, they're looking for unique individuals. If you need any help or other advice feel free to reach out to me!
  4. I got my acceptance email today! Still waiting for the packet to come in the mail! I would love to be added to the Facebook group! Stephanie Lowe and my email is [email protected]! :)
  5. I did not get anything in the mail today either! Fingers crossed for something on Monday!!
  6. Congrats to everyone accepted so far! You all should be so proud of yourselves!
  7. Congrats Irenecastle! Do you live close to the school?
  8. I agree! It's so stressful waiting... I'm checking my mail and email every 10 minutes. Do you guys think we'll find out by mail or email? I know they said mail but in past years it's been an email and a packet in the mail later!
  9. It's only been a few days since the interviews and I'm already going crazy waiting! Waiting is absolutely the worst part... hopefully it comes before the 7th! Good luck to everyone!
  10. So excited I found this! I also applied for the Fall 2017 program and got an interview on Thursday! I am so excited but definitely nervous. Does anyone know what the interview is going to be like? Can't wait to meet everyone!
