Hi there, WHC pays new grads 30.69/hr and they will be avoiding weekends or nights so u don't get those extra differentials to make up for the low pay. It's totally discouraging journey if you're not in you might want to rethink your choice. They also don't schedule u on holidays so u don't get extra pay. I'm so disappointed with my experience there. They say money is not everything but they're the first once to run after referral bonus when u bring somebody in. They had $700 bonus for Thanksgiving and it was for all associates but guess what we didn't get it. They save every dime and nickel when the pay is already the lowest in DMV area. Think twice is my advice!

These details might slightly change next year but those were the deadlines this year.

Hey guys for anybody that's looking for detailed info about the specific dates this year here it's: - I received acceptance letter for Fall 2019 on May 28th, 2019. - You have to sign and send the confirmation paper back by June 10th. - Mandatory orientation is on June 19th. - All the physical forms, CPR cards, vaccines are supposed to be done and submitted online by Aug 1st. - Class registration is on Aug 7th. - Class starts at the end of Aug. I struggled to get all those details from last year's trends b/c I was traveling last month and didn't want to miss anything. Anyways I though I would share it all in one place so people don't end up reading the entire message board to find out some basic deadlines like me to plan your trip and also don't miss anything while you're away. Don't worry you will hear from them soon. I just received mine yesterday and someone else here received it on Friday before the holiday. Hang in there! I know the waiting game is not easy.

You basically nailed it!! I agree with every aspect of your detailed comment. Paying loans for 25 yrs is a nightmare. Good Lord tution in this country is going out of control. Then you add living expense into the pictures you got something that u will never get out of. I'm not sure how someone is ok with repaying loans for 2.5 decades. No way!! I didn't go to school to be a slave for this system I just want to make a decent amount of money and enjoy life.

85k....No way!! Please don't do it. I already have a BS degree in other field and I could go to a 12 month ABSN program instead of community college but I didn't b/c of the cost. 85k is a lot of money seriously!!! I don't mean to discourage you but think about your other expenses while you're in school when you add it to the 85k it's a nightmare plus nursing school is not easy it takes all your time and attention to survive. It's better to take the cheaper and longer route than the shorter and expensive route. Imagine how long it will take you to pay back. Go to community college and save yourself thousands of dollars. Plus those NP schools require you to have some experience so you could be working and doing the 1 year RN-BSN online (your job might pay for this 100%) then apply for NP school. This is just my advise if you're my sister I would discourage you from going this route.

Chegg is another awesome site for book rental. I got really good deals in the past b/n amazon rental and chegg.

Rent them on amazon that might be the best deal.

I got all the answers: MC does not provide any health insurance at all we're supposed to get it on our own. Letters are going out right before Memorial day and most students received it on May 25, 26th this year. You're supposed to respond back by June 10th. There was mandatory orientation on June 20th. Hopefully this will help you guys get an idea. Dates might change but those were the dates for Fall 2018 students.

I have in the past accessed my own chart. During the case I did not access anything out of the ordinary. The computer we use is in a common area where people come in and out continuously. No cameras. I did however look at my mother in laws chart bc her bday was coming up and couldn't remember when. Now HR sent the time stamps of when the co workers charts were accessed. I told them I didn't do iIt does not matter your reasons for looking in those charts[/b],what matters is your hospital policy of which you should have been aware.There is zero tolerance for those violations. Your "supervisor being aware" is not a valid excuse. "there are no cameras" ,you really think they will tell you when they put cameras or ask your permission?These days assume,everything is on camera. Then your lying about it and possibly someone else being to blame is wrong. I hope you do not get fired.Best of luck to you. You're absolutely right! I feel bad for the person that's being blamed right now...this is so unfair. You should own up to your mistake & let them know what happened. At the end of the day would you be ok if someone else did this same exact thing to you??!? Especially when you have no idea what was going on??!??

How much is it? 3. Is health insurance mandatory for nursing program? 4. When are we going to start getting letters from MC for Fall? 5. It seems they will basically tell you anything to get you off of the phone. Oh wow! I remember when this all started they said that every single applicant will go through the background check which in reality is impossible for them to do that (financially) and also based on previous years 95% of the people that got the credit check actually got the schlorship. So credit check became the major indicator of being a finalist unless they find something when they do the credit check. Now they're telling you they review applications randomly every day which is not true b/c majority of us received credit check at the same time 07/24 I haven't seen anybody that had credit check after that. Which means they're basically telling people anything. While I was waiting for this process I drove my self crazy by calling them to ask questions and getting 10 different answers for the same question. Plus save yourself from those unnecessary stress and try to dig info online like this board and some other places as well. It seems the call center is totally hopeless. I hope you end up getting the finalist email. You're in my prayers. I totally understand how this feels.

Please keep this thought to your self people have a right to ask questions and you have the right to keep it moving w/o answering as well. Some people are in accelerated program and they don't have a lot of time to be going through all those previous posts abs whatever their reason is they should be able to ask a question regardless!
