  1. Several years ago when I worked in a CVICU, I recieved a patient from the OR after a CABG. His operative premit stated he had a "coronary artery bypass with cabbage perfusion".

    I work in a cardiology office with 6 MD's. We do up to 8 nuclear stress tests each day. One of the RN's monitors the stress test. A doctor is required to be in the office before we start. All of our nurses, MD's and nuclear tech's are ACLS certified. My father-in-law had one done in my office in November 2001, and infarcted during the test. I was pleased at how quickly I was pushed aside as my co-workers responded to the situation.
  3. I work for a cardiologist. He typically begins with a 5 or 6 Fr. sheath. If no intervention is required, 3-4 hours of bedrest is required. If angioseal is used 2 hours of bedrest is all that is usually needed.
