  2. That's awesome! Congratulations!
  3. Thank you so much!! This is really helpful! I've read that they look at everything so your experience and certification should stand out! Let me know how it goes! Good Luck!!!
  4. Thanks for the invite CollegeStudent1! I won't be graduating until May 2018 so I'll have to wait and apply for the summer or fall 2018 program, but I would love to get some insight for what the application process will be like! I read a previous post similar to this for the summer 2017 group (I think) and a few of the main points I took from it was that Vandy asked more behavioral-type questions during their interviews (What would you do if...); if your top choice unit is full but you still qualify, they will let you chose to interview for one of the remaining units, including the periop internship - which is actually a separate program; and the salary that was mentioned was in the $40k range, but they had great benefits and really nice differentials. Hope this helps and good luck everyone!!
  5. Thanks for the invite! I won't be graduating until May 2018 so I think I have to wait until their summer/fall 2018 applications come out, but I would love to join in and get an inside look for when it's time for me to apply! I've read before that Vandy looks at everything, not just GPA! It seems like you've got well-rounded experience and those wonderful recs should really help too! I have over 2 years of experience as Telemetry Tech so I hope that will help me at least get an interview for one of their cardiac units! Good luck to you!
  6. Hey guys! I know I'm a little early on this, but I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is either already in the program(s) or is also interested in applying for next year. The more I read about these programs, the more I excited I get! I have read so many good things about Vanderbilt from previous posts and I know this would be a great opportunity for me (and others!). I have so many questions I'm not even sure where to begin! I guess some of the main ones I have now are about the application process and what to expect. For those who have already been through this process, what were the average GPAs/levels of experience/etc.? What do you think set you apart from the rest of the applicants? Is there anything I/we should be doing now to prepare for this? For those who are also interested in applying for next year, are there any other questions you would like to add? Are you just as nervous/excited as I am?!
